DENVER Mitt Romney has one thing going for him headed into this weeks first presidential debate with President Obama: Voters dont expect him to do very well.
The newest Washington Times/Zogby Poll, released Sunday, found twice as many voters think Mr. Obama will win Wednesdays kickoff affair as think Mr. Romney will win it and among self-identified independents, its even more pronounced.

Obama cannot win anything...unless the media gives him a script AND the answers along with it.
Kathleen SeBelius should issue a warning about that.
The man has talked us into a coma over the past four ear drum inflaming years. He is in my TV, he is on my computer, he us constantly addressing the nation about stuff I already know about.
The end result is that we figure that he’s got the whole “talking us into unconsciousness” thing down.
Same here. I’ll probably check in on the live thread here and there for any highlights, but I can’t bear to hear/watch the smarmy sycophant media lie for Hussein, pitch softballs to Hussein, and generally kiss Hussein’s crusty azz. I certainly can’t bear to listen to him dither as he tries to remember what his coach told him to say, or rambles off on tangents using vague high-flown rhetoric. I just really don’t put it past the media to have given him the questions in advance.
Will Bath-House Barry have a teleprompter?
If not, he’ll be toast.
Considering Journo-list and all the other little tidbits about the media’s relation to Hussein that have come to light, don’t believe for a second that they wouldn’t do that.
AFTER the debate I cannot wait for the media to tell me what I saw and who won. Life is simplified when I can rely on my betters to keep me misinformed.
He may remember to actually answer a few of the questions, if he can remember the answers, considering that the media will likely as not give him the questions in advance. But he still has to remember a few answers even then. I wonder if he’ll wear a hat, or have his hair fluffed out?
LOL, I hear you. I’m not watching it either, FR will provide the rundown when it’s over.
I find that heartening. Mitt can come across as plastic, but he's become a whole lot better than I thought he'd ever be this past year. If he comes across as a plausible alternative, a plausibly smart guy with some decent answers, it will push things his way.
I remember when Bush stood up to Gore (the so called smartest debater ever), it dawned on people that the preconceptions about the two were wrong.
You don’t have to wait for them to tell you the winner, they already have articles written up. Guess who?
I used to think the Washington Times was a somewhat respectable right-of-center rag. Now they're throwing in with Zogby? Man, have they sunk to the gutter.
Zogby's got about as much credibility as Baghdad Bob.
It's rare to find a Democrat who can actually speak the language coherently. Every word he utters may be utter bs, but he does sound good while he's doing it. For the most part.
This is why the left thinks he's a brilliant orator.
I'd rather get an impression for myself, and then see what FR and other conservative sites are saying.
I wonder if the Washington Times is gaming Zogby. The DNC and Obama campaign are doing their best to say Romney is a great debater and he will win.
Then Zogby shows up with his goofy poll screaming Obama wins! LOL!
I agree, the poll helps Romney. The DNC and the Obama camp can’t be happy at all with Zogby and his poll. HA!
“This is why the left thinks he’s a brilliant orator.”
Yes, but the intellect-challenged left don’t know Bath-House Barry needed his teleprompters to speak to a sixth grade classroom of kids.
ROFL
that was classic!
Why bother when your handlers have all of the questions and will be feeding you the answers through a hidden ear piece?
