DENVER Mitt Romney has one thing going for him headed into this weeks first presidential debate with President Obama: Voters dont expect him to do very well.
The newest Washington Times/Zogby Poll, released Sunday, found twice as many voters think Mr. Obama will win Wednesdays kickoff affair as think Mr. Romney will win it and among self-identified independents, its even more pronounced.

I'm sure you're right, it's his pattern.
I would like to enter but I don’t own a TV!
This.
The Media stories praising Obama’s “UNEXPECTEDLY BRILLIANT!” Debate performance have already been written, and submitted to MediaMatters for approval.
Unless the SOB has a teleprompter or knows the question beforehand so he can memorize an answer, yes he will sound like your typical 6th grade drop-out gangbanger. Obummer reads good, nothing else.
Romney needs to win with the voters, not MSM in this rigged game, the rest of the traitors or the pollsters.....
Without a teleprompter?
Question #2: Will zero have a teleprompter to keep him from veering off into redistribution, reeducation camps or what happens to those who don't pass reeducation camp?
It's a theory, and if true, would be devilishly devious. Zogby is now one of the worst rated pollsters out there, so you know he's hurting for work.
The folks at The WT, knowing this, and knowing his penchant for skewing things madly in the Dem's direction, could have hired him knowing that he'd pump up expectations for Dem voters, when by all indications, Mitt's gonna whup Obie's behind.
That's one way of looking at it, but I can't for the life of me, see what's in it for the Washington Times.
That's their fault for relying on the SRM to inform them. If they bothered to get their information from some halfway reliable sources, they'd be ready to storm the Bastille.
I can’t believe it took until post 25 to get the winner. Zero can’t talk to 6th graders without a teleprompter. Why do you think there is only one debate. I’m surprised he agreed to that, actually.
It’s so blatantly obvious that the media and their endless articles about polls are trying to sway this election. They may as well just say “Hey Republicans ... don’t waste your time ... stay home and don’t bother voting.”
This is going to backfire in a big way when the lefties that think Obama is going to win are the ones that stay home.
I remember when Bush stood up to Gore (the so called smartest debater ever), it dawned on people that the preconceptions about the two were wrong.
Thank God it changed at least 130 people’s mind or we would have had President Gore. It is not like Gore almost didn’t win.

Lots of polls pre-debate show the same exact result or close.
That said, that means if Romney even does a decent job, he can make a difference.
the msm has already written their articles for thursday and post debate.
Romney will be ok, Obama will be brilliant for keeping up with a brilliant debater.
Romney gaffed when he [insert here]
Exactly. Including the Fox news pundits. No matter what Romney says, they will call it a gaffe. And when it’s Joe Biden’s turn to debate, his gaffes, of which I’m sure there will be a few, will go unnoticed.
Excellent stuttering song! My only beef with it is that they could have used completely unique instances of his saying things instead of replicating them but anyone who follows him knows that is possible.
As far as the article, I have a real problem with people who answered the “know him well” question. “The poll asked voters to rank how well they felt they knew Mr. Romney and Mr. Obama on a scale of one to five, with five being very well. Only 42 percent ranked Mr. Romney a four or five, while 71 percent ranked Mr. Obama a four or five.”
I follow politics quite closely, and even _I_ would not answer “know Romney” with a 4 or 5! I would give that question a 3 only. How can 42% believe they know him that well! Somehow, I suspect that at least 3/4 of those answers are from dyed-in-the-wool Demodogs!
