It is a credit to the success of FR that we run into traffic issues and slow downs on debates. I will continue to come here for updates. However a back up plan may be to use twitter and end with #FR so tha twe can search by Free Republic tweeters. Just a thought.

FR is already running slow for me here in TX, so, sadly, I won’t be trying to follow the Live Thread here tonight..
I am not a glutton for punishment, and it’s just been frustrating for the Live Events this cycle.
FR is already starting to slow down! For COL can’t they find a freaking server to handle the load?
Facebook isn’t collecting much personal data on me — it doesn’t even know who I am. Besides the fake name and profile, have installed several add-ons to the browser to prevent scripted data mining on the pc. If is does manage to get anything it is going to be one confusing mish mash of contradictions.
It really isn’t slow for me yet — posting is perfectly normal for me at this point. We may be assigned to different servers or routers?

Not me, thanks. I’m not using FB where I have to be myself. Twitter is more anonymous. I follow a whole bunch of very wise folks, and stay away from the “Ima bust yo inna mouf” types.
That makes three of us. I don’t either.
