If we’re broke, Boehner, how did we get that way? It wasn’t from John or Jane Taxpayer wandering through Walmart going “I want that, an’ that, an’ that, an’ somma those, an’ . . . . “
It was from you and the rest of the Congress taking America on a spending trip we didn’t want and now we have to pay the piper.
TAXING Americans for the exceses and whims of an out-of-control Congress ONLY adds insult to injury. The Congress got us here, NOT the taxpayers and the taxpayers should NOT have to pay for the foolishness and irresponsibility of the people elected to represent us.
So, if we’re broke, it’s YOUR fault!! YOU got us here and YOU need to get us out without digging deper into our wallets!!!
Senator Rand Paul has it right. The Republicans need to vote “present”. So that way the Democrats will OWN the double dip recession that’s coming in ‘13. There’s nothing else to be done.

If they can cut the life expectancy enough, the problem does mitigate quite a bit.

No pay for Congresscritters during years that the budget runs a deficit, along with a 10% cut for each such year when their pay resumes.
Kudzu is edible in salads and as animal fodder. You can make flour from roots or even ferment them for alcohol.
You shouldn’t insult kudzu by comparing to ol’ Weepy. Heck, even manure is more useful than our Speaker.
How 'bout we abolish:
Department of Health and Human Services
Department of Housing and Urban Development
Department of Transportation
How 'bout we seriously reduce:
Department of Agriculture
Department of Commerce
Department of Justice
Let's get really serious: Congressthings should have to pay their staff out of their own salaries.
I think only around five percent of our politicians support the Constitution and the rest want to enshrine themselves in their offices forever, just like the old Soviet Union.

How about we simply gut all unfunded unconstitutional entities, and continue to fund that which is constitutional or funded.
Then we can set about transforming that which is funded but not prescribed in the Constitution to the private sector.
