What’s to stop them from also tapping into the black box remotely using a service like on-star, or Hyundai blue link? For example my new Sonata has a microphone above the driver’s seat for when I have my cell phone connected through the blue tooth hands-free system. They could theoretically listen in on conversations happening in the car and record them on command. Even though I never renewed by subscription to Blue-Link it wouldn’t stop the government from being able to connect to my car since it’s still activated.
This oughtta drive up the resale value of used cars...

This was posted several days ago. Many new cars already have this black box, and some have had then for more than 10 years.
If your car has air bags, anti-lock brakes, and electronic fuel injection, odds are you also have one of these boxes, you already have all the sensors.
Corporate welfare must be supporting this bit of fascism or they would take Obama to court. Government Motors...

Some cars have had black boxes in them for the last three years,insuranve companies can use data.

What this means is that the company that manufactures them gave Ubama a boatload of money.
This also a revenue generating thing. I recently attended a tech class where they talked about this technology. The government can monitor the speed your car is travelling and issue a speeding summons through the mail. They can also issue other summonses such as expired inspections, insurance and registrations. Under the EPA they will know when your cars check engine light comes on issue a summons for polluting the air. This is sick.
He knows when you are sleeping, he knows when you're awake, he knows when you've been bad or good, so be good fer.....
