Received a request from Gonzo. He says his brother-in-law, Noel Nightingale, is in the hospital and is close to expiring. God bless his soul, he's a good man. A Canadian navy veteran who fought for the United States.

Lord I pray for Noel in his time of need. I know not the situation, nor do I know about Noel’s life other than what Jim has offered, but he must be a good man or Jim would not request for us to pray.
To begin with I pray for the Lord to give peace to those who are in pain over the current situation with your brother-in-law Gonzo, and for you also. Ultimately we do not know what the lords plan is, so we are called to pray for His will to be done, on earth as it is in heaven. So Lord, if it’s Your will for Noel to go home, then it will mean his suffering is over, and we ask that you comfort his loved ones who will be left behind.
To leave this world and to be with God is the final result we all should, and many do, pray for. To be but a moment away from the door to God’s realm, is a blessing, not a curse. It means that his long suffering journey home is complete. A journey that we ourselves will not understand just how miserable it was, until we are in the glorious presence of our almighty God.
Sweet Jesus, comfort Noel in his time of need, and bless his family as they contend with his present state.
