We've all heard about the free Obama phones. A friend was recently looking for a part-time work and found this listing on Craig's List [note: the "DMV" refers to DC, Maryland, Virginia]:

I wish I was one of them people who could sign up an Obama voter. I’d record EVERY phone number, compile a list and then anonymously mail that list to the DHS, CIA and NSA that says the following:
This is a list of suspected Arab Terrorists that have been seen using these phones to collaborate on some sort of terrorist action. They need to be investigated immediately.
I just wouldn’t tell them that the “terrorist action” is that they’re a bunch of blood sucking, snake belly leeches who aren’t worth the food or air they use up.
not surprising at all. Worst part of this, is that these phones are typically re-sold on the black market, as throw away phones. My daughter encountered a student at her University who had a bag of these phones she was reselling, as no one in her family needed the free phones, they all had nice cell phones.

I moved to TX in June and immediately started recieving mail ads for a free obamaphone and I still am getting them. They must target everyone because I don’t recieve anything from any gov’t agency, I figured it was the phone companies.
My cell is just a plain talk and text phone, mostly used for work-I can’t afford one of the fancy ones, but some welfare queen can get one?
At the risk of being pedantic, does no one who writes articles consult a dictionary? I think that if someone is going to “hock” phones, they would be taking them to a pawn shop. If they are hired to peddle them on the street/in public places, they are going to “hawk” the phones...

I watch a series some nights on Telemundo, and those phones are advertised there, too. The actors all have light coloring, and are prosperous looking there, too.
And I didn’t need “there too” twice, did I?
