Time to choose: Do Rush, Hannity, and Levin love Rubio or America more?

Posted on 06/16/2013 10:00:00 PM PDT by teg_76

So a few a days ago Rubio comes out with a proposal for an amendment to ban Obamacare. He really gives us no credit for having any intelligence. If this immigration bill passes Obamacare will be set in stone. The electoral demographics of this country will be fundamentally altered, and in the words of Barack Obama, we will be fundamentally changed as a nation. Unless Lyndsay Graham is right and the illegals will love the Republicans if they help pass this amnesty bill...lol. These guys are so out of touch. If Mitt Romney would have made this an issue, we would have won...

So now is the time for Rush, Levin, and Hannity to decide if they would rather still be friends with Rubio and have this bill, which will destroy America as we know it, pass, or side with the American people and call Rubio out for what he is. Talk radio and the grassroots saved us from the Bush amnesty in 2007, but we are utterly failing to this point.

I think it is good advice.

I think that after the specific verbal enthusiasm that Levin showed for Rubio earlier this year, he must call out Rubio by name in order to regain his credibility. Simply talking about “Senators” in general won’t cut it with me after he spent so much time praising Ribio, Rubio, Rubio.

Until Levin specifically identifies Rubio as a leader of the group that is seeking to destroy this country through legalizing the illegals after the fact, everything out of his mouth will sound hypocritical and sanctimonious.

I just hope we do not lose the House.

Personally, I think Giuliani is a more intellectually honest candidate than Rubio, Paul, or Jeb Bush. Rudy does not pretend to be a social conservative as do the other three.

But New Hampshire insures that a populist like Rudy will never get the nomination of either party and we have to choose between losers like Barry, Juan McCain and Mittens Romney.

First of all what difference does it make? Second, Levin came out against the ‘amnesty’ in the current immigration push.

Marco Rubio is NOT a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN.

And by failing to direct any inquiry into this simple statement is where the "Conservative Talk Show Hosts" left Planet Reason.

Whether it be Lawyer Levin, a self-proclaimed brilliant constitutionalist, or former Rock'n'Roll DJs Limbaugh and Hannity, they have refused to even look at Article II eligibility. They have refused to even consider it as a valid constitutional question. They have refused to urge the SCOTUS to do its job and accept an appeal on the matter. The issue, for them, does not exist.

Not one of them has even mentioned Sheriff Arpaio's investigation as a news story. The issue: the false documentation; the forgery, does not exist for them.

But one can hardly blame these mattress and gold bar radio salesmen. For neither does the issue even exist for elected Republicans in Congress and in Governors' mansions. The issue does not even exist for State Attorneys General and election officials.

The present administration ... which should not even exist ... is built upon the faulty premise that Barack Hussein Obama was eligible to be a candidate for POTUS. Nothing good has, or even can, come from it.

I have heard Levin and Limbaugh say that they do not support rubio and that the bill is horrible... they will not attack the man personally but they certainly have separated from him and have called him a fool etc for being played by the left... I disagree... I think rubio is a leftist and always has been. He is a role player.

Gee, in listening to Rush, there is nothing to indicate he is for the amnesty bill. There is a lot to indicate he is disappointed in Castro’s protégé Rubio, who is doing more harm to the USA then Fidel ever dreamed of doing.

If it was ANYONE ELSE who promised We The People secure borders, then was caught on VIDEO saying LEGALIZATION FIRST to the Mexicans, they would be on them like white on rice!

And they should be.

Why aren’t these men screaming about this! It would go a long way to killing this thing! They would rather court favor with Rubio than save their nation and our people?

I am so infuriated that they won’t do this! I’m not listening to them until they do! Maybe if their ratings plunged they’d understand the fury we feel and the absolute contempt we hold for Rubio and his LIES!

Ongoing lies! Those ads are still all over the airwaves and he continues to deceive the American people.

CALL HIM OUT!

Not just Rubio but they created a monster in Paul Ryan too by promoting him as another cult hero,
Now Ryan says that amnesty is not amnesty because ‘they have to pay a fine and pay back taxes’, when they will be able to get the EITC under that bill (EITC=reverse taxes).

Both of them are trying to deceive Republicans.

How many illegals you think would go for Ryan’s phony budget resolutions? The ones that would cut anti-poverty handouts?

Not one word of the above is true regarding Rush or Levin. I can’t speak about Hannity because I don’t listen to him much. But, as for Rush, I’ve been a daily listener of his show since 1989 and I can tell you that both he and Levin HAVE spoken about Obama’s birth record problems - but after it became clear that none in the government or the media were going to do anything about it, why keep hammering Obama on that point? No one who COULD do anything about it will.

Rush and Levin did all they could to oppose Obama’s re-election. We all thought Obama would lose after all the crap he pulled prior to 2012, but conservatives did not pull together to stop his re-election. Many did not even vote because Romney was not the guy they wanted.

Romney, nor any other Republican candidate in the primary season was not acceptable to everyone’s liking - “Sarah was a quitter, Cain wasn’t smart enough, Perry was not really a conservative, Santorum wasn’t either, Newt had too much baggage, I’ll never vote for Romney” - these were the comments and threads on Free Republic all through the campaign season right up to the election - so the base did not turn out and now we’ve got what we’ve got.

I hope I am wrong, but I think the USA is a dead man walking. We are just going through the death throes.

As Rush has pointed out over and over, Obama, the first black president, is NEVER going to be impeached or removed from office by the powers that be. If, after birth certificate-gate, Benghazi-gate, IRS-gate, Obamacare-gate, Fast and Furious, and NSA-gate Obama is still not only in office, but his approval ratings are still in the high 40’s - the low informational voters, the Democrat machine, the liberal media, and the impotent GOP are NOT going to remove him.

The only play left (if you can call it that) is to increase some conservative gains in the House and possibly regain control of the Senate - for the purpose of stopping/slowing some of Obama’s agenda.

Unless Obama really somehow offends the low-info voter, he will remain in office. It absolutely sucks, but that’s how it appears to be going down.

Who knows about Hannity, I can never figure out what he thinks.

Vannity loves Rubio. He fully accepted Rubio's excuse for having two different positions, one stated in English for an English-speaking audience, and one stated in Spanish for a Spanish-speaking audience.

Rusty, if you are satisfied with the job these talk radio fellows have done on the legitimacy issue, so be it. I spoke person-to-person about it with the redoubtable GGL, and his sense of the topic was in line with yours: i.e., that it was not worth speaking about because those that were empowered to handle it, wouldn't.

Recently I was on the air with Michael Medved, who acknowledged at least, the validity of the topic, as a topic! However, his take, again in accord with yours, was that it was a waste of time and might damage our chances of winning (although to whom "our" refers is another good question) in 2014.

I agree that the next two elections are absolutely vital to the preservation of the Republic, and that NOTHING should be done to jeopardize even slightly "our" chances of removing Team Obama from dominance in Congress.

Nonetheless, the issues remain. What is a citizen? What is a 'natural born Citizen?' Is the child of two (legal or)illegal aliens a citizen? A 'natural born Citizen?' The SCOTUS has abdicated on these issues. If 'Talk Radio' has any effect at all, shouldn't it be inspiring the listeners to urge the courts and officials to do their constitutional duty?

As missionaries converting non-believers, the talk jocks have been spectacularly UN-successful. In fact, it might be said that they don't even do a good job of preaching to the choir! E.G., In regard to the non-voting 'conservatives,' i.e., that 4 million or so of the electorate who abandoned the field to Obama in 2012: of what earthly political use is "Conservative Talk Radio" if can't even get "OUR" lo-info voters off the couch?

"Conservative Talk Radio" is commercial radio. Its purpose is to sell gold bars and trick mattresses to a well-defined audience. The 'gimmick?' The 'marketing hook?' Preaching to the choir; fussin' and fulminatin' like "conservatives" gathered 'round the bar at the VFW or Elks.

IMNSVHO, a political movement is not on sure ground when its self-proclaimed 'philosophers' are using the politics of the audience to sell them software, gold brick, and trick mattresses.
