U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin is a statist and a bully. The Senator, known for comparing U.S. soldiers to Nazis, recently used his senatorial letterhead to demand answers from us here at the Freedom Foundation. Sen. Durbin wants to know whether the Freedom Foundation is, or ever has been, a member of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC).

Well, I live in Illinois, I'd be happy to burn Dick(head) Durbin in effigy ... problem is, I don't know how to make a likeness of Dick(head) Durbin. If someone could make one up for me, I'd be happy to burn Durbin in effigy at a busy intersection to see if I'll get arrested.
Last I looked, walking on the flag, urinating on the flag, and oh yeah -- burning politicians in effigy is FIRST AMENDMENT FREE SPEECH, and I'm always happy to practice that!

I have heard of ALEC and did not know its purpose or why leftists hated it enough to pressure companies to distance themselves from it. Wow. Now I understand. Way to go FF!

Imagine my surprise to find an article comparing King David and Bill Clinton! The article says that David was a risk-taker, occasionally overzealous with the opposite sex - '... a man-god who, despite his flaws, became a great leader of his people.' There was a picture of Clinton scowling to reinforce the silly comparison.
As I have repeatedly pointed out recently, this is evidence of Stalinism insidiously pervading our whole society [to wit lately that hapless rodeo clown.] The American Stalinists have done to Egypt just what they hope to do to America.
