Successful candidates for the Senate have spent upwards of ten million dollars. I don’t know what a primary costs but I’d guess another ten million. I’d say primary any RINOs but that would mean spending twenty million dollars. There can’t be a lot of Tea Partiers with that kind of money.

Too bad we don’t seem to have a well-connected strategist to help out. Years ago I’d have said it was Karl Rove, but he has proved more RINO than Tea Party.

The ONLY good thing that has come of this:

"...bill is also designed to eliminate the threat of another budget shutdown like the one this fall."... and avoid letting the press distract people with "stories" about "republican shut downs" and "party of no."

Quite accidentally, while offending his base and not moving towards fiscal stability - indeed moving away from it - Boehner got lucky and achieved a likely path to making the House majority larger and gaining a Senate majority.

It will be up to us to make sure that we get tea party people elected to enact appropriate reforms. If we don't achieve getting tea party people elected, then we only have ourselves to blame. Let's avoid that and just frickin' work like hell to get tea party people elected.

I'd really like to NOT get on here after midterms having to bitch about GOPe vs tea party. I want enough tea in the House and Senate to not have to fight - peace thru strength ya know. This bone-headed deal will help us do that - AS WILL the country's focus on 0bamacare and the economy.

...this is the guy who CAN investigate and subpoena through the House Oversight Committee and all we hear are empty threats......he spends way too much time under a sun lamp.
Meanwhile, billions are being stolen while HE sobs through his tenure...totally useless!

Dick Morris, of all people, came out and said it. Boehmer would not be Speaker except for the Tea Party. What happened, of course, is that the Leadership expected to co-opt the newcomers and teacher them how to “get-along in this town.” That happened in a few cases but they were unable to tame the caucus, and this has outraged those Lobbyist who expect to bribe enough politicians in both parties to get their wishes.

For what it is worth: The Republicans are fighting over the principles of what they stand for. Meanwhile, the Democrats and the mainstream media are collecting soundbites to use to create their "narrative" to use against conservatives.

The Democrat/Media machine never sleeps. They are always distorting, lying, spinning and shaping the next news cycle.

Our real enemy is the media.

The TEA Party was defeated politically, but the Fiscal Math lives on. This fact will never be defeated until entitlement spending is reformed. Our day of reckoning with our irresponsible spending is coming. This is simply reality...regardless of what the Dems, Obama, Reid, or Boehner say.

Let me add one more comment: Many of us on FR (the writer included) tend to get caught up in issues of truth and fact. Because we value truth we focus on truth.

The Democrats and their mainstream media focus on "perspective" and what they call the "narrative". They blow by the facts and truth and work to create a story favorable to their side. They focus on the big picture while we get caught up in the details.

Sadly, most people vote based on the general perspective the Democrat/Media presents. They don't and won't take the time to understand the issues and the details. The average voter is too lazy to dig through the details to understand what is at stake. They vote based on the "narrative" and we lose.

By the way, this is why Democrats hate Limbaugh and Drudge (among others). Limbaugh presents a "narrative" from the conservative side. Drudge provides perspective by the way he aggregates news articles on his website. Drudge's "flashbacks" are very effective in showing the hypocrisy of the leftist media.

The question now is will Bonehead Ryno Cancer and Charlie McCarthy play Black Bart from Blazing Saddles and put a gun to America's head to kill the TEA party to suck up to the DNC and the Chamber of Amnesty.
They are whining because we are trying to make them live up to the promises they made to get elected and they don't like being held accountable. Worse they are using the weasels in the media to attack us and try to make us look unreasonable. THEY are the ones who are unreasonable they know it and we know it.

"He also blamed them for the partial government shutdown"

Listen Boehner- you useless lying slug:

THE DEMOCRATS SHUT THE GOVERNMENT DOWN IN ORDER TO FORCE OBAMACARE ON THE AMERICAN PUBLIC.
THEY WERE SENT BILL AFTER BILL TO FUND THE GOVERNMENT, BUT NOT OBAMACARE. THERE WAS EVEN ONE BILL THAT ONLY ASKED FOR OBAMACARE TO BE DELAYED FOR A YEAR-THE DEMOCRATS REFUSED THEM ALL. THAT IS HOW THE DEMOCRATS CAUSED THE SHUTDOWN!!!!!!!!!

The only reason the public believes republicans caused it is because the useless lying media kept repeating this falsehood over and over, while you and the other lazy rinos said nothing to counter it.

Imagine if you had put 1/100th of the efforts you have made to fight conservatives, into fighting against Obamacare.

We need to start calling these people what they really are: Moderate democrats- And they need to get out of our party and go back to their true party-the democrat party
