I hope this isn’t true. I am finding this difficult to believe.

Let the misbegotten bastards who permitted this atrocity to occur be consigned to the everlasting flames of Hell!
The Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines: "We will leave no man behind!"
The VA: "We will resolve no claim before its time."
But to deny proper burial to the deceased, veterans or not, is beneath contempt.

O stranger, tell the Lacedaemonians that we lie here, obedient to their command.
Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

I hope this makes the news papers so Obama can become aware of this and be mad as hell.

sacrificed and forgotten
I knew the left were rabidly against the military and would dismantle our military capability given the chance... I just didn’t figured they’d gladly toss our servicemen and women into the trash bin as well
there should be charges, arrests and jail time for those responsible... including where the buck stops

I’m not so sure the VA is the only guilty party here. What is the VA supposed to do if the bodies sitting in a county morgue haven’t been identified? Are they to assume that every Jane or John Doe who dies is a veteran and to be buried with military honors? I would assume that LA County, which has a long history of incompetence as well, would be doing everything they could to get the bodies in question identified and out of their custody.
There is probably more to this story.

I went to the Memorial Day Service at Fort Rosecrans Cemetery on Point Loma, San Diego today. One of the speakers said that recently 21 veterans were collected from the morgues of New York City and they were given burials at a veterans cemetery in Long Island. The veterans had no families to take the folded flags from their coffins. Gold Star mothers volunteered and went to the funeral and were their family and took the folded flags.

A microcosm of the plunder and death from socialists. BIG GOVERNMENT IS CRONY SOCIALISM. Secret lists, death panels, rotting corpses is all part of the UNaffordable, UNaccountable, UNcaring Act, aka TOTALITARIANCARE.
UNaccountable bureaucrats are socialists. The pawns/willing accomplices of the agenda-driven, narcissistic, elitist TOTALITARIANS.

Nothing new with this, I served active in the 1970’s and heard horror stories then about the treatment of ill vets.

When my dad passed in 2011 he was buried in a Veterans Cemetery. It wasn't a National Cemetery but one managed I think by both state and VA. There really wasn't a delay as such but could have been if we didn't accept the morning burial slot open. It was on a Friday morning and the next time slot open was Monday if we had wanted the afternoon. Those type of limitations are understandable.
I worked at a National Cemetery on a Work Study contract back in the early 1980's while going to school. It was ran efficiently and professionally.
BTW VA only provides the grave, the marker, opens it and closes the grave, for veteran and spouse. They are buried in the same grave. The last I heard the dependent spouse burial is now about a thousand dollars. The funeral itself unless on active duty at the time of death as far as I know has always been a family cost.

From an Internet source:
The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) is the largest federal employee union, representing 670,000 workers in the federal government and the government of the District of Columbia. AFGE's National Veterans Affairs Council represents 210,000 employees within the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Has anyone asked AFGE leadership to resign?
Imagine Obamacare under total control of the AFGE or SEIU.

"All across the United States, employees in VA hospitals are accused of cooking the books and altering medical records to make the hospitals appear to be better than they actually were.
Meanwhile, our military veterans were forced to languish in endless waiting lists, many of whom died while waiting to see a doctor for the first time."The VA hospitals are the role models for Obama Care.
