Bernie Sanders sends a chilling message to Hillary campaign
American Thinker ^ | Thomas Lifson

Posted on 07/02/2015 9:12:52 AM PDT by RoosterRedux

Hillary Clinton and her campaign cronies saw something frightening yesterday: a fired-up crowd of ten thousand people in Madison, Wisconsin, packing the Veterans Memorial Coliseum to the rafters in support of a candidate best known as Not Hillary. The previously fairly obscure Senator Bernie Sanders is drawing the same kind of enthusiasm that Eugene McCarthy sparked in 1968 when he drive an even more inevitable nominee from the Democratic ticket, incumbent President Lyndon Johnson.

It is clear that the progressive base of the Democratic Party is fed up with Hillary Clinton, the cozy-with-Wall-Street party insider who parlayed political connections into a nine-figure fortune after leaving the White House “dead broke.” In fact, the big news the Clinton Campaign intended to tout on the day of Sanders’s triumph brought home the point: her campaign has managed to raise $45 million.

To the left-wing core of the Democratic Party, the message is a clear contrast: Hillary has the money, and Bernie has the people.

Does anyone in the Hillary campaign think they can draw ten thousand wildly enthusiastic supporters to cheer, stomp, and call out her name in an orgy of political thrills? I suspect they are considering the question this morning, thinking that out of 16 million or so people in the Greater New York Area, perhaps ten thousand is not an insurmountable number. In Greater Madison, with a population of 568,593 in the 2010 Census, it is certainly an impossibility.

I have a strong feeling that the Democrat field is going to be horrible unless they get someone else - the majority of American voters will vote for gays, muslims, anything...but the majority won’t vote for socialists.

Then how do you explain obama?

Lol, I have a strong feeling that the Democrat field is going to be horrible unless they get someone else - the majority of American voters will vote for gays, muslims, anything...but the majority won’t vote for socialists. But the majority of Americans already did that in 2008 and 2012 ;o)

Then how do you explain obama?

Most of the votes he got were for promises of transparency and lower health insurance premiums. They didn't vote for Obama, they voted for the lies. His entire administration and his legacy is lies, because that's what The People voted for.

I am more worried about the American Electorate.
The fact that they would cast any significant vote for either Sanders or Hillary! is scary.
That fact that they have a good chance of winning is terrifying. (The fact that Obama won, twice, is also terrifying...)

Maybe he’s the Eugene J. McCarthy of 1967 to HRC’s LBJ!

You are so right: the American people are mentally lacking in all ways important.

I’d really hate to be within 50 miles of her when the realization that she will go to her grave having never been president. It will be a 9.9 off the charts psycho meltdown.

Look up “Sewer Socialism” in Milwaukee. Southern Wisconsin was the epicenter of the Socialist movement in America.

Those union mobs that occupied the Wisconsin state house (and failed to have Scott Walker recalled) have generationally deep roots.

Comrade Bernie’s right at home in that crowd, more so than in Vermont. How long before they’re shouting “Soak the rich!”?

>>Uhhhh.....I think they have. Twice.<<

No, they voted for David Palmer — twice. They didn’t care about ideology, just an image that was 180 degrees from reality.

The public has been voting for Socialists for President for most of the past century, at least since Teddy Roosevelt in 1904. Zero is a Communist, so they went full retard in 2008 and ‘12. Of course, his ringer “opponent” Willard is a Socialist (as was McQueeg), so...

Hillary has a chance to win. A good one, unfortunately.

Sanders has no chance to be nominated and would be slaughtered if he was.
