The 2016 presidential election is unfolding like a Greek tragedy. With a few changes.
A tragic hero, burdened by a fatal flaw, inexorably strides toward destruction; unstoppable, resolute and impervious to those who beg him to change. Thus proceeds the Donald.
I hasten to stipulate that the word hero is hard to apply. We commonly associate the word with bravery, intelligence and vision. With Trump, not so much.
But the past week has shown us a leader, and a leader he is, with a fatal flaw: an inability to adjust his character to reality. His campaign is one of personal insult, ethnic divisiveness and blatant disregard for the norms of political discourse. On the one hand, this is what got him the nomination. On the other hand it cannot possibly broaden his appeal to undecided voters. Those who already support him find it comforting. Those who need persuasion to vote for him will be repelled. It will destroy him.

There is no possible way that Hildebeast will win in a landslide. Could she win a squeaker? Sure - vote fraud makes a difference in close elections. But because she is utterly loathesome, and unloved by anyone, if there is going to be a landslide in this election it will be President Trump.
Punchline:
“Trump will likely keep insulting Hillary. He will likely keep raising issues of ethnicity, race and gender. He will lash out at opponents and shrug off specific plans. Hillary, having found her voice, will pound on the Commander-In-Chief issue, and the economy. Her own unpopularity will recede. Undecideds will break toward Hillary. Republicans will stay home in droves. Trump will win the Old Confederacy and a few Rocky Mountain states, but not by a lot. Hillary will win comfortably elsewhere. And the Senate and the House? Gone.”
There’s a reason Trump made billions of dollars in legit business, and won the nomination from 16 opponents with little effort, while Hillary is barely holding her own against a 70 year old communist who never held a real job and never earned serious money.
“and a leader he is, with a fatal flaw: an inability to adjust his character to reality.”
He forgot to add his definition of reality: “Reality is whatever me and my liberal friends say it is.”
Not going to happen; I just want Trump to win and he has had a bad few days by running against this judge. He needs to pivot and recover before there is lasting damage. He is behind.
They are just updating their articles from when they said he couldn’t win a primary.
Was this in the entertainment section? Like they promised?
I always found it odd that...
Lindsey was the guy
Stevie was the girl
“Mr. Trump, a self made business man who demonstrably loves this country is no where near the perfect candidate but the other choice is going to be the communist Queen of Crime who runs a mafia type family Foundation that under RICO would land anyone else in jail or an out right Socialist Communist who wants the government to pay for everything for everybody and a 90% tax rate for those making $500K/year (that may be high). May not be much to choose from but if one truly loves this country its a no brainer who not choose. “
You have summed up my thoughts on this election perfectly.
smells like crusty old pantsuit spirit

I talked to two people today regarding tomorrow’s vote and both are voting Trump and both despise Hillary.
They were saying the same thing about incumbent Jimmy Carter versus the B-film Hollywood actor about this same time in the election cycle...the rest is history.
His comments about the judge are hurting him, as will the Trump U. flap, as the media simply won’t tell the truth about it.
Yes. Richard has stuck his nose where no healthy person would stick their nose.
Can you smell what the Rock is cookin ?

This inevitability of this outcome is dawning on Republicans everywhere. What you are smelling is primal fear. They can see it coming, an inevitable tidal wave sweeping them from power. The Senate: Gone. The House: Gone.
Its going to happen. But unlike most Greek tragedies, where the hero destroys himself but everyone else survives, hes dragging everyone with him. Trump is about to destroy the Republican Party in his own mad dash to oblivion.
My God, the projection and denial is absolute. This is EXACTLY what Hillary is doing to the Democrats.
LOL, these people are actually, literally insane. The only thing they believe in is the power of their lies. They have utterly abandoned any decency or even sanity. All they have is mind-fu**ing techniques - that's it.
Trump is going to bury them, and they know it. They see it coming.
The old left-right uniparty thinking again?
In the midst of new smoking - gun State Dept. revelations, and the release of a highly critical new book written by a Clinton White House insider, who are the media and even the Republicans talking about this week?
Donald and his arguably spot-on "gaffe" regarding a leftist judge.
