Statistics site 538 adjusted its swing state forecast for Ohio Monday, and the results are looking better for Republican nominee Donald Trump.
Trump overcame a 5 point deficit mid-August to lead Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton by three points in the state, according to the latest Ipsos poll published in September.

Nate’s trying to hedge his bets, he embarrassed himself when he declared Trump had only a 5% chance of winning the nomination.
If Trump is doing so much better in Ohio, then how is it that he’s still so far behind in Pennsylvania?
While I watch the polls, I can’t help but note various contradictions. Hillary is up overall, we are told. Hillary is ahead in every battleground state, we were told recently. Trump is ahead in some particular battleground state, but still far behind in other similar battleground states. Things just don’t quite add up with the polls this election cycle.
Latest TV news clip featured her new plane parked next to Trump’s, the fact that she now includes all the press on her flights but Trump only did one way, one trip, her EXTENSIVE press briefing (/s/) and Slow Joe saying Republican candidate looks down on Hillary and all Dems and it needs to stop. Pictures of her from rally but somehow they seemed to leave out anything about her non-stop coughing. Photographers must have run out of film. LOL
Usually it’s “Trump gains, trails by one..” Next week, “Trump gains, trails by two.”
It will be like when Reagan ran, NO ONE and I mean NO ONE gave him any chance of winning either..then BAM a week before the election the pollsters had to admit that Reagan had it in the bag
I think all one needs to do to figure where/how the race stands is to look at the reception Mr. Trump received today at the Canfield Fairgrounds in Ohio!!!
He was mobbed. The crowd roared and chanted their love for him. The cheering was deafening!!!
I don’t believe the polls can possibly capture the enormous enthusiasm for Trump and how he connects with real people!!!
He’s not. Latest Ipsos has him either leading or tied in PA. But look at IN: he’s running 8 points (!) ahead of Minion Romney. So I think it’s sweeping through the midwest.
The Rust Belt is the key....what’s your take on Virginia ? I know you have not been too keen on it.
.... Photographers must have run out of film. LOL...
But, she hasn’t run out of phlegm.
TTTT!
Pennsylvania has teased Republican candidates for 20 years now, but the overwhelming Democrat vote from Philadelphia always keeps it out of reach.
Trump may well win Pennsylvania, but Pennsylvania will not be the State that tips it for Trump. If Trumps wins Pennsylvania, then he will win Florida, Ohio, Wisconsin, Iowa, New Hampshire, Virginia and likely Michigan as well. If he wins Pennsylvania, it will be part of a 320 EC night for him.
Poor Nate Plastic...
The question of whether or not pollsters or predictors are skewing their findings to influence outcome of elections shouldn’t be the first question.
The first question should be: Is it possible to influence elections by altering their results?
If the answer is yes, then next question should be: What, if anything, is stopping them from attempting to influence elections?
Looking MUCHO better in last three polls. Apparently close, one way or the other, so the trend is our friend.
Typical MSM sentence: “Donald Trump, while leading by 1-3 points in many national polls, is attempting to revitalize his flagging, rudderless campaign. In other news, Hurricane Hermine, 200 miles out at sea, is utterly destroying the East Coast, all because of global warming and the documented 1 foot rise in sea levels over the past century. Some really smart expert a the University California, Berkeley says so.”
The last two polls from VA are encouraging. Emerson C +1, Hampton U C +2. Both Moe polls
Hillary tries to get out in public and her coughing attacks begin. She will have to go back into hiding once more. GO TRUMP GO
Good news....to be honest I don’t trust PA. If I were Trump I would be going after VA big time. I would not ignore PA, but I would hate to see the same old same in PA as the GOP falls a few points short.
