EB-5 visas started in 1990. There are also E-1 and E-2 visas which result from treaties with specific countries. The oldest of these started in 1852.
The implication that these visas were started by Trump to help “fat cat” friends is fake news.
Specific projects may be tailored to qualify for these visas as a way of raising capital. If DJT were not President this would be a non-story.

Lets stop back 100 yards and look at this in a different way. The US still has the asset. It is hard to move that building to China.
AND, the US now has at least $500k that used to be in China.
Now explain to me how that is "NOT a good thing"? From my perspective, we still have the building, and we get jobs and money that used to be in a different country.
Is there a chance that the foreign owners off that building will work against US interests? Sure there is, but the building is firmly in the US and is subject to US law. We are in control.

Supposedly jared has sold his shares of this project to a trust and he is not named beneficiary of that trust.
So..who are the beneficiaries .
