NIKE: “Nike supports athletes and their right to freedom of expression on issues that are of great importance to our society.”

Most supportive.

According to SBJ, “NFL spokesperson Joe Lockhart confirmed to Sports Business Journal that Papa John’s had expressed concerns with the league. Further, Lockhart said that other top sponsors have expressed similar concerns as the NFL’s TV ratings slump and political battles play out in the league.”

I presume Rodger Goodell has been put on a suicide watch at this point. He can't survive the sponsors saying "we won't pay anymore".

His complaint is falling profits, not that the felons are taking a knee.

I suspect some of these companies are looking for legal avenues to break their contracts with the NFL. I suspect some want to renegotiate into a more favorable deal.

“The good news is that we are starting to see REAL economic impacts of the traitorous displays against our flag and country!”

I am involved with a company doing “opinion surveys” of consumers in order to target marketing campaigns, and I am seeing a lot of questions all of a sudden asking if the person being surveyed watches the NFL...they KNOW these protests are tanking their viewership and once the advertisers start pulling their money, the collapse of the League will not be far behind!

This MUST terrify the NFL because it could be the beginning of the corporate sponsors bolting the league. If a big sponsor like Hyundai--who is counting on the fortunes of the new line of small SUV's (the new Kona, plus the Tucson and Santa Fe are scheduled to be replaced in the next few years)--bolts, the NFL is in BIG trouble.

the NFL nonsense has allowed me to rediscover just how good the baseball World Series can be to watch on TV. I’m rooting for Huston.

Looks like Under Armour and Nike. Under Amrour stock has been in a serious decline for the last 3 years. It is down ~72%. for 3 years and ~50% YTD. Siding with NFL problems isn’t helping their bottom line.

The chickens are coming home to roost. Trying to appeal to the Left with Lefty swill did not get them the boost in ticket sales they wanted. What happened was the opposite.

"No other brand name has been more synonymous with the NFL over the years, than Papa John’s."

I'm pretty sure Budweiser holds that distinction.

I just ordered Papa John’s pizza and got a short survey by email. I rated their pizza a 10 but asked them why they would want to advertise on the NFL since they are becoming so unpatriotic!

I think the Papa John’s guy was a big Trump supporter. If so, it’s a shame he has become a victim of the NFL crybaby kneelers. He and his employees are innocent, but are paying a price for others’ bad acts.
