Rain sounds wonderful and I hope the coolness will last till tomorrow for you.

Supposed to rain at home tomorrow, and I hope it does. It’ll make it bearable.

You Are Trader Joes

?img>

You consider grocery shopping an adventure. You like to go out there and see what you can find. You are definitely a foodie, but you keep to a budget. You want as many of the finer things as you can afford.

You have a taste for the exotic and novel. You love a new twist on an old favorite. And while you aren't a health nut, you prefer to go the more natural route. You love to eat well while still making healthy choices.

Huh? I have never been into a Trader Joe's! I usually shop at Kroger. ;-)

Glad the weather allowed y’all to get out for some fun. Guess I’ll never see the pix since NOTHING will get me to go to FB. LOL! I haven’t even gone there to check out the museum’s page.

Our summer has been hot but not unusually hot. Our temps have been pretty much normal this year. Earlier, our temps were a bit below normal.
The past two days have been horrendous, though, due to high humidity.

We and da kittehs have been surviving it well enough. Staying inside in the A/C is the key! LOL! I’ve worried a lot about Simon since he’s still wild and we can’t bring him inside. But he’s pulled through. He was obviously uncomfortable when he showed up at suppertime but then the rain came and cooled things off. I’m sure he appreciated it.

I am “Trader Joes.”

It fits, but I shop more at Costco and Walmart.

Ha! I think they should have had Kroger as an answer. But you do eat “exotic” Cuban food and you are why I tried it when I went to FL the first time.

Glad you got to go this year since you missed out on the birds last year. Too bad they didn’t have an eagle but the birds they did have were plenty cool enough.
Red-tailed hawks are pretty large birds. We have a lot of them around here. One year, there was one that tried to take off with a couple of our cats and it hurt one pretty badly. Fortunately he recovered nicely and was able to walk again but he never left the deck again except to go a few feet into the yard to potty. After a little while I brought him inside where he lived happily the rest of his life.

The kestrel in your pic is just too cute!

The rain is very welcome. I was going to need to water the flowers this evening if the rain had bypassed us, as it likes to do. It’s still sprinkling a little now.

But this front isn’t going to drop our temps. We’ll still be in the 90s the next week or so. If the humidity drops like they say it will, it’ll be a little more bearable.

Then I hope the humidity drops. You need a break....and so does Simon!

Whole foods? Nope. Walmart... it’s the only game in my town.

We hope it drops too. Sure makes it hard to step outside for any reason when it’s like it was the past two days.

And all the poor critters outside need a break. I could tell Simon was miserable this afternoon when he showed up.

I can’t imagine how miserable he must be. Hope the coyotes have been too hot to pursue him.

I’ve been concerned about my kitties, too. We do have big trees and cool grass and those big rain barrels that are cool to curl up behind. I hope hubby didn’t try to mow the lawn though. He always forgets to take water out with him. Yeesh!

He at least felt good enough to eat a little cold canned food this evening. I didn’t give him a large serving because I didn’t want to make him sick. But there was enough to cool him off inside and give him some nourishment.
A few minutes before the storms arrived we got the nice cool outflow blowing through and he cooled off enough to eat a little dry food. I don’t know where he went when the ran started but I haven’t seen him since. He’ll show up when he’s ready to eat again.

I just hope he’s not off wandering through the corn. It’s cool enough for the coyotes to be out on the hunt.

Your kitties are having a rough time, too, with the heat in TX. I reckon all the critters in the south are going to be happy when fall finally arrives. I think we’ve ALL had enough of summer. LOL

Mices are in the corn, so, so are the mice, and the coyotes.

deer and pheasants too.

We have no corn or maize this year, the winter wheat is in but the fields are fallow.

Coyotes, mice and deer, we have, but no pheasants.

It hasn’t been a good year for farmers in your area, has it? :-(
