Missouri Gov. Mike Parson (R) on Wednesday signaled his preparation to cave to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) effort to retain control of the House amid statewide redistricting.

Parson’s communications director, Kelli Jones, tweeted a threatening message to the Republican-controlled legislature that is internally debating whether to give Pelosi an extra House district to flaunt in the midterms. Establishment state Republican senators have filibustered the GOP favorable maps since Tuesday.

You can’t make this crap up. At least the RINOs are self-identifying themselves for future primary targets!

Alabama already proved they can prevail in court as it’s too late to change districts here before primary season begins. Mizzou should take that lead.

OH is going from 12R to 4D (losing 1sear)
Redistricting courts want 8 R to 7 D.
Impossible since to d strongholds are Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati. The precinct map should be the key.
We are so screwed by the Republicans like DeWine.

You are correct.

Makes no sense to me. Why would they capitulate when GOP controls the legislature?

Michigan recently adopted a new redistricting recommended by a citizens panel. Before, the state legislature had 5 black people in office which is proportional to the black population in the state. With the new districts there will likely be 3 fewer black legislators. It doesn’t make any difference to me. I just find it interesting.

I believe the Democrats aka Demoncrats will find new ways to cheat control of the House and Senate in 2022 leaving all the conservative pundits eating their words about a Republican sweep.

Nancy Pelosi has been the greatest terrorist attack that has ever touched American soil, without any doubt.

Let’s say you were given a powerful and magical vote which would remove just one Democrat from office forever, who would get your vote?

It’s really discouraging to me that the GOP holds all the cards in many of these redistricting situations, and is still managing to lose. Redistricting is a political process, like it or not. Wield your power for political gain, like the democrats do.

The democrats certainly don’t throw us any bones in states where they control the redistricting, do they?

Currently MO has 6 Republican and 2 democrat districts. The democrat districts are pretty much St. Louis City and Kansas City and both seats are held by blacks. Eliminating a safe black seat might be problematic.
