Former Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND) said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” that today’s soaring inflation was former President Donald Trump’s fault.
Heitkamp said, “You always blame the party in power. And, you know, the administration wasn’t aggressive enough, in my opinion, in pushing back on the red herrings. The red herrings like it’s because you didn’t build the Keystone XL pipeline and remind them one of the first things Donald Trump did was give the permit, and in four years, the pipeline didn’t get built? Why not? It wasn’t economical to build that pipeline in those price points. They argue that this is because of inflation. Runaway inflation. Who drove up inflation? We saw the CBO numbers this week. It was the Trump Administration that overspent and drove up inflation. So if inflation in prices and housing and in gas is because of deficit spending, that’s Trump’s fault, and so the administration has not been nearly aggressive enough to explain what’s actually going on.”

The gaslighting is nonstop.
Trump never controlled Congress.
Trump spends, baaaaaad (and don’t give us any of that crap about a pandemic; if he didn’t know that was a fraud, the more fool he!)
Biden spends, gooooood (there was a pandemic, for cripe sake!)
Trumpsha Trumpsha Trumpsha! Endless hatered.
And, this woman represents NORTH DAKOTA, one of the most prolific oil states ?
Surely, she’s on her way out !
God help us...Get us to November and we need to take both houses.
When Trump succeeded with the economy, Obama took credit.
When Biden fails with everything, it’s Trumps fault.
The sad thing, to me, isn’t that people like this gaslight Americans, it’s that Democrats actually are so blinded they believe it.
If people actually believe this, then we are too intellectually challenged to exist as a nation.
The rodents are so scared of what is coming that they don’t know what to say or do.
Its why the rats are so baldfaced and obvious with their lies. Their supporters don’t care what they hear as long as they hear something.
She’s out already she lost in 2018 I believe, I think she’s trying to get back in using insane logic
So they fall back to what is normal for them, lying, hate, obfuscation.
The Trump administration had absolutely no interest in fiscal responsibility, true. No more than any other Republican administration has. But saying their spending policies drove up inflation more than Biden’s is a bit of a stretch.
Shocking RATS would blame inflation on Trump and Putin/Russia. /sarc
They doubled his spending already, driving up inflation twice as fast as Trumps
He had a veto. He didn’t use it hardly at all, certainly not on anything significant.
Under Obama, Congress brought the national debt to about $20 trillion. The Senate again upped the limit.
Under Trump, Congress brought the national debt to about $25 trillion. The Senate upped the limit.
Under Biden's FIRST year, Congress brought the national debt to above $30 trillion. The Senate again upped the limit with continuing resolutions.
One might think both "war" parties had a hand in this, because "never let a crisis go to waste."
Heidi Heitkamp is a liar, as well as a corrupt spendthrift among many spendthrifts. ABC and the others are enablers, publicizing the lies.
Bahahahaha…delusional insane rats…
On March 24, 2017, the U.S. State Department under President Donald Trump (R) issued a presidential permit approving the Keystone XL pipeline. Trump signed an executive order in January to expedite final approval of the pipeline within 60 days. In the executive order, Trump also invited TransCanada, the pipeline’s owner, to resubmit its application for a permit. On January 26, 2017, TransCanada resubmitted its application for approval.
In November 2017, the Nebraska Public Service Commission voted 3-2 to approve construction of a portion of the Keystone XL pipeline in Nebraska, though the commission rejected TransCanada’s preferred route for the pipeline.
On November 9, 2018, U.S. District Judge Brian M. Morris blocked the permit issued by the Trump administration. Morris ruled that a supplemental environmental review had to be completed before the construction could proceed.
On January 20, 2021, President Joe Biden signed an executive order which revoked the permit for the Keystone XL Pipeline.
