The louder the World screams, the more convinced I am that the US is right.

The more I hear the World complaining, the more negative articles I read, the more supposed allies position themselves against us, the more convinced I become that what the President is doing is right.

The list of reasons not to rely on French, German, Russian or UN judgment is long and distinguished.

My Government's motives may or may not be entirely pure but at the end of the day I trust it long before these others.

The list of reasons not to rely on the AP, UPI, REUTERS, New York Times, LA times, Washington Post, the networks or CNN's judgment is long and distinguished.

The more they print or cover negative articles or stories about any coming US war with Iraq the more I pause and remember the other things they have bemoaned..Kyoto, The ICC, 2000 Elections, 2002 Elections, etc, etc.

The list of reasons not to rely on the supposed Peace Movement's judgment is long and distinguished. The list of reasons not to rely on the Catholic Church's judgment is long and distinguished.

The more they all scream "the sky is fallng" the more confident in GW's decision making and motives I become.

Reached the same conclusion months ago. As we say in church, "the devil is mad, and I'm glad". This will be a tremendous blessing for the U.S. when Saddam is crushed. God loves justice and hates tyrants.

If the French are against a course of action you can pretty safely assume it’s the morally and politically correct thing to do.

I agree with you. Strip away the puppet show, and this is about Israel.

The liberals, the U.N., the E.U. and the Catholic Church are all lined up against us, because they fervently hope Saddam will be left alone to develop his nuclear weapons so he can one day incinerate the REAL object of their hatred -- Israel.

This is because Jesus said He would not return (and end the world as we know it) until National Israel accepted Him as their Saviour. Satan's strategy is dead simple once you know what to look for. Destroy Israel so they can never accept Jesus. That was his strategy with Hitler in WWII, (to stop Israel from getting back their Biblical Homeland) and when that backfired, he (and his human accomplices) have been trying to destroy Israel from without, via arab wars, and within, via "palestine".

They are ALL about to see their strategies go up in smoke.

The U.S. is right about what!? Sending American boys and girls half-way around the world to play nanny to ingrate countries? World policing under such circumstances is a form of masochism. What is the point of that?<)<

The logical conclusion to draw from your theory is that we should be bring the troops home for home defense rather than put them needlesly in harms in futile projects to "protect" or "reform" countries which hate us.

What sanity? Policing and "protecting" foreign countries who, according to the author of the vanity, hate us. A better word to describe such a policy would be masochism.

I agree! The U.S. is receiving more negative propaganda from within than anytime in history. The U.S. major news media is less believeable than TOKOYO ROSE during WWII. She was a joke and so is the U.S. news media. GO BUSH GO!!!

Go Bush go to do what? Waste our tax dollars and soldiers policing and "protecting" countries which hate us? What an odd conclusion to draw from the facts described by the author of the vanity.

Maybe so, but I remember 8 years recently when I most assuredly did not trust "my government". I do now, because we have good people with good intentions in charge.

"Sending American boys and girls half-way around the world to play nanny to ingrate countries? World policing under such circumstances is a form of masochism."

This is NOT playing nanny OR world policing. This is ELIMINATING a direct threat to our country and our people. It is the only smart thing to do.

It is simple.

Saddam and the rest of his merry men want to kill us.

We don't want him to.

We are going to stop him.

We are going to stop ALL of them.

See, simple.

Stay safe; stay armed.

Saddam is secularist, Mussolini wannabe. Bin Laden and his ilk hate him for this. The Bush adminstration has decided to launch this war primarily to "build democracy" (a complete pipe dream) in Iraq so as to create a counterweight to Saudi Arabia. A second goal is to eliminate Iraq as a "regional threat" (e.g. help Israel). All of the above goals have nothing to do with home defense.

Another foreign war will go down as yet another failure of internatioanl social engineering in the tradition of Gulf War I, Somalia, Haiti, and Kosovo. The track record of such projects is terrible but, for the world policers, nothing seems to succeed like failure.

Conservatives showed such good sense when they opposed the Haiti and Kosovo interventionism. Now, they have become hopelessly utopian Wilsonians.

Evidence? Saddam is a Mussolini wannabe, secularist (women do not wear veils in Iraq) who represents everything that Bin Laden hates. The primary goal of the Bush administration is to eliminate Saddam as a regional threat and to build democracy in Iraq (LOL!). To believe that fourth rate tin point dictator like Saddam is a threat to our home defense is laughable. Is is called international policing will go down in history as yet another failure in the tradition of Gulf War I, Haiti, and Kosovo.

Listening to the French, Germans, and UN is why the job wasn't done the first time, and why we have to go back to finish it.

The events of 9/11 changed a lot of things in this world; it demonstrated that the US is not so isolated or safe that it can ignore petty little tyrants half a world away. It also showed that the threat from the growing islamonazis is real and must be dealt with, sooner or later. The longer we wait the more expensive its going to be, but war with these maniacs is inevitable.

Destabilizing the Middle East by destroying Saddam and Iraq will accomplish several things: it will send a message to other regimes in the region (like Syria, Iran, and even Saudi Arabia) that we can go anywhere in the world and totally remove from the face of the earth any government or group of people that plots to strike US interests at home or abroad.

Kosovo was indeed a worthless display of Nato's impotence, because we hit the wrong people there. But these terrorists do not operate in a vacuum; they are aided, abetted and financed by governments. It is these governments that we need to deal with, one way or the other. Its not difficult to figure out who they are. And time is the enemy.

Methinks that your time on FR is going to be short-lived, unless, of course, you keep logging on with different nicks.
