Beloved Heavenly Father,

We pray for the health and recovery of FReeper Dix. Surround him with your angels and our prayers. Guide the hands, minds, and hearts of his doctors and nurses. We place before your attention his lungs and the mass which has been excised. Help us to see the perfect structures of those lungs healing into a perfect state of functioning. Father, let your will be done in the life of this servant. Surround his family and friends. Give them all comfort and reassurance that you will work only your will in his life. We do pray for anything less than that will to be vanquished. We trust that all is being done according to thy will not only for FReeper Dix, but also for each of your children for whom these prayers may apply.

Thank you our Father for hearing us.

Amen

FReeper prayers requested ....

Understood and done. Please keep us all posted on his condition. My bro-n-law underwent a triple bypass late yesterday afternoon also. Haven't heard much since but my sis said last evening that docs didn't expect any problems. His name is James and a prayer for him wouldn't hurt.

Offering up prayers for Our Lord and Father to wrap Dix in His loving and healing arms. We ask you, Dear Father, to show Dix a speedy recovery and to spare him any further harm, if it be Your will. We ask this of You in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Send our Dix a message! St. Luke's offers an eGreeting that can be sent from this web page and will be printed and delivered to The Voice of The Houston Chapter. Address it to Douglas Dixson.

Among his print and television sound bites, Dix and President Bush were the only conservatives quoted in this AP story.

After February's protests, he said he would not decide policy "based upon a focus group." At a White House news conference Thursday, he addressed protesters directly. "I recognize there are people who don't like war. I don't like war," Bush said. But he said Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein must be deposed to disarm Iraq and keep the United States safe, and that might only be accomplished with force.

For his part, Doug Dixon, an activist who has joined counter-demonstrations to back the drive toward war, shrugs off the peace movement as "pretty irrelevant." Dixon, a Houston-based member of the conservative grass-roots group Free Republic, believes the anti-war movement is encouraging Saddam Hussein.

"I'm certain he's watching," Dixon said.
