thanks.

i book marked it.

one member of the free speech movement at berkeley is a long-standing member of the los angeles city council.

surprise!

her name is jackie goldberg.

in "the new intellectuals" ayn rand had these pukes nailed. of course, she came from the soviet union and knew a commie when she saw one. most americans then were naive.

david horowitz' "radical son" is excellent, too. of course, he grew up as a red diaper commie. his parents came here committed to overthrow the u.s. government. he grew disillusioned with the new left and ... left!

i like his telling of how robert scheer, nationally syndicated columnist of the los angeles times was getting over $100,000 a year as editor of ramparts in the 60s and how he wanted to translate the elder kim's north korean speeches into english and publish them!

mind you, this guy, along with his maoist wife, both work for the l.a. times.

the mccarthy era is a favorite whine of the l.a. times. every time some puke dies, they give him a half page obit., and tell us how unfair america is!

Mort Scheer was a CPUSA member who broke with the party because it wasn't radical enough. Wonder if he is Robert's dad. Mort is mentioned on this thread:

i have no idea.

i read it and found mort scheer, but there is nothing to date him.

robert scheer would be in his early to mid 60s, i would guess.

i believe his mother was catholic and his father jewish.

the person that knows a lot about the mccarthy era, and of course, california, is the owner of this forum, jim robinson. i remember seeing something that he'd written years ago about the mccarthy era and the communists.

I haven't seen this in a long time, but each time you read it, you realize that more and more of the objectives have been realized. The DNC is doing them proud. Scary stuff.

I love that book. To this day it is still a real eye-opener.

I agree, and reading Skousen's The Naked Capitalist opens them even more!

If you don't think Communists think like "Rules for Communists" consider that the true story of a sleeper Russian agent appeared in Reader's Digest many years ago. The fellow was the son of Russian immigrants also born in Russia. When he was a teen, they told him to write letters to newspapers mentioning disinformation and demoralizing information. In lLater years they told him to drive near secret defense facilities and take pictures of planes coming in and out, cars leaving etc. They also told him to do a lot of silly things that he thought were pranklike or childish perhaps to test his obidience for nasty projects.
By the time of his college education, he was Americanized and wanted to turn in his handlers as provacateurs and disavow , forget about being a sleeper agent. He did quit being a Soviet agent. I think he grew up in Florida.
