This Memorial Day weekend, we decided to change the pace a bit in here for Saturday Nights with Mr. Tonkin. We'd like to take time out to honor all the brave men and women whose lives were lost defending our great country and the rest of the world. We would also like to thank our current group of warriors for their sacrifice, dedication, and commitment to a safer America and free world. Please join us today in honoring these brave men and women.

As for the Memorial Day Music Dedication, we want to give you a chance to get your vocal chords working. As we remember the reason for Memorial Day, it's also a good opportunity to listen to some inspirational, patriotic, and fun music. We hope you enjoy your holiday weekend and the music dedication. Remember to click on all the graphics. Enjoy! Have a safe holiday weekend!

They that can give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty or safety. (Hello France!)

When you look at some of the lyrics, keep in mind that some are the original versions. A few of the songs are done in the current version that had been revised after WWII. We hope you enjoy all the music. The collection of patriotic songs spans from the Civil War through World War II.

I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!

This section is a potpourri of patriotic and inspirational music. A few of the selections are additional versions of a few of the songs in the above Patriotic Music Fest! We hope you enjoy these. Just click the link to hear the song!

The Fisher House program is a unique private-public partnership that supports America's military in their time of need by providing homes close to a loved one during the hospitalization for an unexpected illness, disease, or injury.

There are currently 31 houses located on the grounds of every major military medical center and several VA medical centers. These houses will play a critical role in caring for casualties from Operation Iraqi Freedom. Donations will be used to help meet the cost of lodging for a family whose loved one was injured in Operation Enduring Freedom or Operation Iraqi Freedom. There is a limit to the number of families who can stay in a Fisher House and program is committed to help provide lodging for families who must find commercial lodging, because the Fisher House is full.

Today's FEEBLE attempt at humor:

One day Dracula is walking down the street when suddenly 10 tons of
smoked salmon sandwiches, bridge rolls, pitted olives, chicken wings,
chipolatas, tomato salad, pizza slices and crisps falls on him from
a great height and knocks him to the ground.

"Oh no!" he gasps with his dying breath... "It's Buffet the Vampire
Slayer!"

Thank You for today's thread!
I still don't know why the table with the
trumpets "shifted" after I posted it.
It was OK in preview and then "shifted."
Even with that, it's still a GREAT thread.
Thank You both for your hard work in getting this thread together.

See You tonight after work.
