It is getting better. Check this out [Truthout trying to hide stealing a fraudulent article]

Posted on 07/09/2003 6:26:23 PM PDT by William McKinley

I am having a back and forth with Japan Today regarding their publishing of an article which appeared in Capitol Hill Blue that has subsequently been exposed to be false.

Japan Today did not get the article from Capitol Hill Blue though. They got it from Truthout.org, a leftist propaganda outfit.

I wanted to see if Truthout.org even had the story up on their site. I went to their main page, Truthout.org and checked. Nothing. I noticed a search box up at the top. So I took a phrase from the original article, sought significant quantities and hit search.

Bingo.

Here is what the resulting page looked like:

Notice that the third result is a match for Doug Thompson's article.

But wait, there's more.

I click on it- and what do I find? It now goes to a completely different article, from the Washington Post. In other words, they had it up, and they took it down to make it look like they didn't have it.

Unfortunately for them, their search engine's cache still has it. At least for the time being. Others should replicate what I have done here for verification. I am sure they will be 'fixing' this slip up hastily.

It's not my field, maybe someone knows. To do it I reckon they would have to do it at register.com itself in order to fool every web whois search.

Not only does the resulting whois search bring up truthout's data but it lists the administrator's email addy at artfix.com , a site which is also registered to a Marc Ash but which is registered back in ...Nov 6, 97 and through DNS netlimited.net while truthout is at NS interland.net

It was the same case with the infamous 9-11 party video. It was claimed false before the next and yet it was totally unupported and leftists cried for weeks trying to hold on to it.

Doug Thomas was just a guy that got snookered and wrote an article that was flawed. the leftists jumped on it and re-ran it all over the place.

I'm lost as to the Ash reference though.

Maybe. I know that I don't believe his explanation. I think the plan was blown with the outrageous claim that this guy had sat in on meetings with Bush. It could have been still working for them had they kept it in the shadowy world of unnamed sources talking about these meetings.

I'm lost as to the Ash reference though.

There was a person who was originally known by the screen-id Ash, who would enter the forum via many other ids after having been banned. People on the forum would note his re-appearance with an "ASH ALERT". This was in the late 1990s.

You know, when I first read your Wilkinson expose' thread last night, I immediately posed the question: Does Mr. Wilkinson know Scott Ritter?"

Just patting myself on the back for being somewhat perceptive.

I saw that. You go girl!

Just goes to show that no weapon formed against President Bush will prosper.

His enemies sat in wait for what they thought were an opportune time to cause problems for Bush while out of the country. They were exposed as frauds.

Thank God for FreeRepublic. I think I'll up my monthly and send in extra Friday.

Well...they do call CIA personnel "spooks" so I guess we're all creeped out about this. I'm okay as long as they aren't SPIDERS. Ewwwww! Now THAT'S creepy.

"Domain Name: TRUTHOUT.ORG
Created on..............: Mon, Sep 10, 2001"

So, we've got potential connections to Scott Ritter, a known spook, via William Rivers Pitt, or at least someone who conveniently registered on CHB this week to openly claim to be WRP, with a public admission of a WRP->truthout.org connection, for a website that stole a spook-fabricated (per the source, Wilkinson) story that made false claims about Bush/Iraq/WMD, a website that was registered the day before the 9/11/01 attacks.

You guys are good. I was buying all of this, but come on, stop pulling my leg. I'm sure that your book will be a best-seller, though.

I just want to know if it will be in Fiction or non-fiction sections of libraries and bookstores.

Here's more scary info from the Veterans for Peace group. Dang .. if veterans are allowing this creep and Scott Ritter around 'em, what are they thinking??? He sure bears a resemblance to Scott Ritter.

"VETERANS FOR PEACE Veterans Working Together for Peace & Justice Through Non-violence. Wage Peace"

William Rivers Pitt

"William Rivers Pitt is an internationally best-selling author of three books: 'War on Iraq - What Team Bush Doesn't Want You to Know,' 'The Greatest Sedition is Silence,' and 'Our Flag, Too - The Paradox of Patriotism.' He is the Managing Editor and Senior Writer for truthout.org.

Mr. Pitt is a political analyst for the Institute for Public Accuracy. He spent several years as a high school teacher of English Literature, Writing, Grammar, Journalism and History, and was a Dean. Mr. Pitt currently resides in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He is 31 years old."
