BOOKING LAYOFFS
Predictions in the slumping book industry that blockbusters like New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clintons tell-little biography would revive sales are dying fast.
Washington Whispers is told that Simon and Schuster publisher of Clintons 'Living History,' is planning a second round of layoffs.
One reason: Advances to Authors are too high.

I'm hoping they go belly up I think that they're part of the Coca-Cola conglomerate, so this pay-off probably applies across the board, in which case, the Coca-Cola conglomerate will bail them out.

Sorry, Simon and Schuster is affiliated with Viacom, owners of MTV, among other things. Sumner Redstone, President. So this is Sumner Redstone's payoff to the Clintons. Strange that his name hasn't surfaced in any press reports...
