President Bush needs to defund these groups as he is defunding the terrorist of the middle east. Attack their source of money and their spokesmen, many of whom report out of Eugene Ore.

ALF terrorists committed arson at a local McDonald's and set fire to a lab at the University of Arizona and set free a bunch of infected animals. They care nothing about animals or people; just their anti-social anarchist agenda.

LOL! Think it's THAT easy? It ain't. First you need to get a Judge to sign a closure order. Then you use expensive legions of mobilized Forest Service law enforcement officers that are taken away from other jobs to enforce it.

Arresting, transporting, housing, arraigning, and watching the complaint being dismissed by Democratically appointed Federal Judges is also a kicker.

The city of Eugene turns into a drop kicked hornet's nest of anger. Demonstrations at the Federal Courthouse (That is expensive to control and monitor), minions of people infiltrating the closure, standing at the gates, and tormenting FS personnel at USFS stations, and many other events high in angry people and expense to deal with happen.

Think they haven't tried this? It is a headache. I haven't even mentioned how the headache called ELF is right there looking for how they can coattail into it destroying something.

They have tried to wait out activists in the woods. For years and years. Activists like living in the woods. Thousands of people give money, food, clothing, climbing gear, and high praise for the actions of forest defenders.

For every kid in a tree there is five to fifteen on the ground, some in the new forest "hides." For every group of up to sixteen people in the woods, there are hundreds of people in town supporting them.

Your idea is flawed; but I understand how someone who doesn't know what is going on in this fight would suggest it.

And this is the quick, thumbnail explanation. I could sit down and write a paper on this situation that would anger and discourage you upon reading it.

There are also several new sits going up this Spring too. Go figure.

Don't think it ends there either. Research and development of new forest defense tactics and operations orders is an ongoing thing. This is a big business that employs and keeps busy an extremely high number of folks.

And this week the report came out the the enviro-nazi "scientists" who faked the linx hair in WA / Or forests were not only not fired, they were given merit promotions! And the "court" found them not guilty of a crime, but rather of bad scientific decisions, or some such poo. How did we get so far behind and out of the loop to let these people infiltate so much?

Thanks. I have been evolving my bump lists lately and this topic concerning ELF is why I am here. I want them gone, and I had to listen to 'ferret' - who is not allowed in FR -laughing at me earlier today at 'Out of the Fog Coffee Shop' where many activists hang out - it's next to the office - telling me FReepers will never to any perspective from Eugene, Oregon.

Since 1996 the cost of their criminality is estimated at $43 million. ... In January, ALF had the audacity to release its own reports reguarding its previous years of arsons...

So send them the bill!! Hell, it looks like they have admitted to being responsible for specific criminal acts, so why not make them pay reparations? Hit them in the pocketbook with actual losses and major lawsuits that would put them out of business.

... it is only a matter of time before their parade of terror results in lost human life.

How do we know it hasn't done so already? They would, of course, never claim responsibility if such an inadvertent death occurred because of their actions.
