I attribute her refusal to run to a lack of courage in the face of leftist death threats (and maybe some from the GOP, we don’t know). I’m not sure she is the right person for president after displaying that kind of cowardice.

If that were the case, she would not be leading the charge of crony capitalism against the Dem and GOP professional political class. So, no, she remains a threat to their power and golden pie. That she believes she can make a difference from the sidelines without the shackles of a campaign while her base is fixated on the title is why there is a tug of war in progress.

Sad that a so-called “conservative” FReeper is so against a fine conservative woman who helped us take back the House last year.

My feeling is her decision was based on family.

And wrong for America.

I’ve rarely been more disappointed.

Have to agree with you.

I can only imagine the energy that her Candidacy would have brought to the Republican Nomination process, win or lose.

We have to press on so Obama can be defeated. At this point in time I do not take his defeat for granted and I hope none of my fellow FReepers do either.

The Obama Drones should not be taken lightly. They still have the same Vote that we do, plus their dead relatives and their habit of “finding” votes in the trunks of their cars after the Polls close.

Which reminds me, I have to get one of those Obama logo DRONES stickers for my car. Mark Levin named them well.

I'm not against her. I just question the judgment of those who put her on a pedestal. They are very unrealistic. I wonder what they're smoking.

So those of us who admire and have supported Governor Sarah Palin are all illegal drug users? Are you sure you’re at the right website?

Trying to Alinsky me, I see. The question is why? Palin’s not in the race, so what are you scared of?

Now that is funny. Are you aware that if one responds to Buford's post #42½ that it shows as a reply to your post #42? In other words, SJB was most likely laughing at the Obsession photo, not your post. And somehow you turn that into some big Alinsky-like plot claiming folks are scared of Sarah? Too funny. Sarah is history. Get over it.

No. But I wonder where those who have unrealistic expectations of her a coming from. It's certainly not the real world.

I wonder why you care to so blatantly repeat propaganda, if what you say is true.

If you actually believe, as you claim Palin doesn’t matter, then how about you go wash your dog, and stop bothering those who do.

M’kay? Thanks then, bye.

“Cain is a very good example of total incompetence at governing or knowledge of basics foreign or domestic issues, but yet, everybody loves him.. Sorry, not playing that game. our country is way too far gone to put another “learn on the job” guy there. “

Spot on!

Why is it you feel a need to lecture others regarding moving on? Who died and left you in charge?

Instead of running around like Lucy Van Pelt acting the big cheese, why not counter the argument by posting something positive about your candidate for consideration.

Others here can then take up your opinion or reject it. The "move on" crowd here is about as insufferable as the one on the left.

The article posted is news. If it bothers you so much, why not stomp over to another thread?

Just a note to all the mockers: If the rest of the field were playing to win, instead of to be the poor sucker giving the concession speech, which is what they’re pretty much all doing right now, Sarah Palin would no longer be an issue. The California presidential primary is June 5. I vote by mail. Unless one or more of these folks has stepped up their game massively between now and when I drop the ballot in late May or early June, I’m voting for her, whether she’s formally on the ballot or not. As for the general election...well, we’ll see how it goes. I hope these candidates can step it up. Unfortunately, I also thought we’d have multiple worthwhile Candidates B after Palin withdrew. Right now, I suspect I’ll be writing her in then as well. Prove me wrong, guys. Please.

I’m not looking for a god or a goddess, and never was, just somebody who’s at least reasonably conservative, at least reasonably well-qualified, and who has the street smarts and toughness to make it through what is going to be an historically nasty presidential campaign. I’ve made the completely clear-eyed and sober judgment that that’s the gov, not anybody in the current declared field. Or maybe you think the Chicago Outfit is going to give our candidate a break just because his or her name’s not Palin. Yeah, right. And I’m supposed to be the one who’s not dealing with reality.
