Cruz is now third in Iowa and South Carolina and he has resources for the long haul.
Carly Fiorina couldn't capitalize on her scrappy second debate performance while Sen. Ted Cruz looks to be assembling an organization for the long haul.
That's why they are trading places in the latest rankings of The Chase – U.S. News' snapshot of the 2016 presidential contenders and their shot at their party's nominations.
The Texas senator has nudged Fiorina out of the top tier of the GOP primary. He now sits in the No. 4 slot, behind Donald Trump, Ben Carson and Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla, leaving the top tier conspicuously void of governors.
The former Hewlett Packard CEO drops into the second tier ahead of the third Republican debate Wednesday, when she'll look for yet another opportunity to recharge her idled bid....

iCarly was a kind of one-trick pony. She managed to shoot her way into the main stage in the second debate by eviscerating what were admittedly less-accomplished players, all of whom were running more as a vanity than as serious candidates.
iCarly has been running largely as a vanity, and the novelty of having girl parts.

I’d rather have people who have proven their conservative bona fides instead of trusting them based on what they SAY. That’s why I prefer Cruz to Carly. Carly could be great. But then again she could be a liberal Republican, no matter what she says. Cruz has proven himself over and over.
Mrs. Fiorino is just an establishment candidate in pantyhose and heels. Her job is to funnel women’s votes to Bush.

Cruz has Carson to climb over, but chances are he can sic plenty of “complex” money on Carson and run that big game in January.
Then, we have Jeb collapsing, and Morning Joe and the papers, and Drudge, all together sinking Rubio big time today in the media. (And Linday Graham whining).
