Marco Rubio's loss is Ted Cruz's gain, a new poll shows.

The Texas senator will benefit most from Rubio's exit from the presidential race, according to new Morning Consult polling.

Among 412 Rubio supporters polled, 47 percent support Cruz as a second choice.

Twenty-seven percent of respondents said they would back Ohio Gov. John Kasich if Rubio dropped out and only 13 percent of Rubio backers said they'd support front-runner Donald Trump....

“Twenty-seven percent of respondents said they would back Ohio Gov. John Kasich if Rubio dropped out “

If, at this point, Rubio supporters decide to vote for Kasich, they are dumber than a bag of rocks. Voting for Kasich will only ensure that Trump gets the nomination. ALL Rubio supporters who do not want Trump must vote for Cruz.

Didn’t Trump say he would like to go head to head with Cruz just the other day? Maybe he changed his mind.

Now that Trump has lost the cover of having multiple candidates on the stage, Mr. tough guy Trump will never again debate Cruz.

Shouldn’t you have written:

“I meet a lot of Trump supporters. But, they won’t tell me why he’s afraid to debate Cruz, Kasich, Kelly, Baier, and Wallace all at once.”

What’s 47% of 8%?

So the supporters of the Gang of 8 amnesty guy will shift to Cruz. Very revealing.

I meet a lot of Trump supporters. But, they won't tell me why he's afraid to debate Cruz one on one.

Why should he? Trump is leading by 250 delegates. Cruz is the champion debater and policy wonk. You don't play to your opponent's strength.

Yep, my mom was for Rubio first, then Cruz. How typical she is, I dunno.

Even if so that would seem to be lite lifting for the Superman Trump.

Cruz will gig them on principle

What principles? You mean the Trump is responsible for the mob principles.

Where is your sense of rage at unfairness?

Cruz gets to cruise because he is inconsequential unlike Trump.

Cruz is so yesterday. Cruz is the Reaper character from Bill & Ted’s adventure who kept requesting do-overs until he gets a ‘Melvin’ - That’s it.... Trump has already given Ted a ‘Melvin’.

I'm not sure what warm dark orifice you pulled that statement out of, but if I were you I wouldn't keep my teeth there.

NO, I don't mean what you said, nor do I see where you came up with that nonsense.

Cruz would fight the GOPe over principles. He already has, in the Senate.

Trump will 'bend' the rules to make deals and 'win', which might not be a 'win' for us.

That is what I mean.
