California...More Conservatives than Texas or Florida?
US Census, Election | 1-30-05 | Bob J

Posted on 01/30/2005 11:40:42 AM PST by Bob J

Attention all you CA bashers, particularly those of you so filled with jeolosy about the Golden State you can't help posting ignorant and provincial comments.

We won't mention that CA gave this country Ronald Reagan or that this state passed, by wide margins, propositions to eliminate bi-lingual education and restrictions on benefits to illegal aliens. It wouldn't be kosher to mention we just tossed a liberal/socialist Governor out on his derrier. We won't talk about how Free Republic was created in CA, that the first activism chapter was in LA or that the very first DC Rally (The MArch for Justice in '98) that helped launch FR activism around the country was planned and organized in CA by Californians. Let's not compare the size of its economy with other states (If CA were a country, it would have the 7th largest in the world), and that the taxes paid by Californian's pay for much of other states infrastructure projects and welfare benefits. That would be piling on and not a fair fight.

How about we keep it simple and just compare raw numbers of conservatives. According to the latest census and election results in '04, CA has almost 15 million of us, compared to 12 million in Texas and only 8 million in Florida, the next 2 most populous states.

Let me post that again...

Conservative Totals

California - 14.9 million
Texas - 12.7 Million
Florida - 8.3 Million.

Read it and weep..it ain't braggin' if it's true.

So you keyboard cowboys who hate everything and never get off your butt to make something happen, take your ignorant and spiteful comments about CA falling off into the ocean and put them where sun don't shine.

To be honest, the conservative cause could do a lot better without you than without the 15 million conservatives in this state.

The California that gave us Ronald Reagan and Prop. 13 no longer exists.

But even with 15 million conservatives we STILL couldn't get Botox Boxer out of office! But you point is a good one nonetheless!

We just kicked out Davis in an unprecedented recall vote. But hey, if if that opinion gives you reason for living, by all means knock yourself out.

Flyover country starts about 10 miles in from the coast folks. Don't let the steaming piles of liberals along the water taint the reputations of the sane among us.

Weakling Girly Boy go cry to your Momma, if you can't deliver the electoral votes your numbers mean squat.

The weirdness that oozes out of that State ruining Oregon first then Washington and my memories of being forced to live in California for 15 years are more than enough reason for me to never return or miss you when you are gone.

So, you're willing to dismiss and write off 15 million conservatives because of Barbara Boxer?

Texan conservatives are more likely to live as a culture where continuity rather than numbers will be the driving strength.

In any case, if hate is deforming, respect is beautiful.

Illinois didn't elect him Governor and give him a political base from which to launch a presidential run.

Ease up tiger - the Cali bashing is meant for the blue precincts of Hollyweirdos and berkley socialists - please don't take it personally. We know there are good conservatives there. And I'm expecting Cali to go Red in 08!

Conservative Totals / Total State Population
California - 14.9 / 35.5 = 41.9%
Texas - 12.7 / 22.1 = 57.5%
Florida - 8.3 / 17.0 = 48.8%

All it means is that you're a huge minority...one that would actually be able to influence policy if you were in any other state.
