I'd have to concur with that one.

How many blacks were there on the jury, btw? It's a serious question--I haven't followed the case at all.

I thought he would be found guilty, but then I remembered the case was tried in California, the France of the United States. How could I forget? Only Bush is guilty when it comes to California, the France of the United States. Oh well, the worlds most blatant pedophile gets to continue raping boys. Congratulations Calfornia on doing it twice. A double killer is playing golf and a blatant pedo gets to prey on more dysfunctional families.

If it hadn't been for Geragos, Scott Peterson would be walking free too.

LOL. Probably very true. How can someone sleep w/a kid for 300+ days and the jury doesn't find him a perv? I had a problem w/the conspiracy charges, but thought at least they'd get him on the alcohol.

Here's my other question - the various staff who said they saw Jackson in a compromising position with a child - why didn't one of them try to stop Jackson or take the child away, if only momentarily? I never heard one word that a right thinking adult on his staff stepped in to protect a child. So, either he's surrounded by sniveling cowards, pervs, or maybe these things didn't happen? Who knows?

Like OJ, he won the battle but I believe he lost the war. There is just enough reek of stink in the charges that he'll never rid himself of the smell. The NG verdict doesn't make it go away. In a way, it makes it worse; he cannot claim he was "shafted" by the system and be a martyr. He WAS found "not guilty," right?

You'll see him fade away from the public image and he'll never sell another record. He's finished.

This won't be popular but.

The right decision was made, and it was made for this reason.

The mother is a professional con-artist, she plays victim for a living, I forgot all the people she's sued, (I know one of them was a shopping guard who she claimed had assualted her), and she saw Micheal Jackson, and well she knew what she was doing.

Seriously, who actually leaves theie kids with Micheal Jackson. When you combine the fact that she has her history, and the fact that she left the kid with Jacko...
She was looking for a mark, Mesereau had it right.

Now, if we are going to use OJ as one extreme and Kobe as another, I think this case falls in the middle. With OJ, you had a clear miscarriage of justice, not only did he deserve to be convicted, but he was actually on trial for a crime he was guilty of.

In Kobe, you had the exact opposite, you had a woman of loose morals willingly act as a groupie to Kobe, you had her bragging about it, and then suddenly, she realizes that she can make some money off of this. Notice that as soon as she dropped the criminal charges, she began expressing official interest in a civil case.

Micheal falls in the middle. I do believe he is guilty of child molestation and deserves to be sent to prison for it, but, I just don't believe he is guilty in this case. That mother is clearly not to be trusted, and considering this is not the first time she's had a mark case around the children, I don't think they are to be trusted either. As a parent, it revolts me to say this, but, you've got to do better.

You know Jacko has actually molested children, find an actual case and charge him on it, and make sure when you charge it, that the mother is not first class grifter.

This being said, I do believe there is enough evidence (even if I doubt the validity of this particular case) to bring Jackson up for suit in civil court where the burden of proof is lower, and I think that will happen in this case.

I so totally agree with you---

He has been given a license to do anything with any child, any time...

And, he has two little boys to do it with...and I am not kidding when I say that I think he will.

I mean, the world, and a jury just told him it is perfectly OK to sleep with little boys, shower with little boys, look at porn with little boys...I gotta quit..

I am making myself sick

It's of course possible, but there is still a pattern of behavior on Jackson's part. If these boys had strictly been out over the years to extort money from him I can't see him continuing that behavior when it would just set him up for more extortion. I don't for a minute believe he's as naive as he portrays himself especially after having to pay out millions. To me, it just doesn't track.

"Maybe they found him not guilty because the prosecution didn't prove its case and the witnesses weren't credible."

No the jury has decided the victim wasn't a worthy victim. The jury has instituted a class system for victims. It is a sad day in the US today.

This is a pretty sickening day for the justice system of the United States of America.

I do not doubt that Michael Jackson IS GUILTY for a second.

However I think that the jury must have felt that the accuser's credibility all all witnesses involved in this particular incident weren't enough to convict him of all the charges.

They explained that even with the additional testimony, the jury most likely focused on the specific circumstances of the charges. The defense succeeded in tainting further the image of a known grifter, the victim's mother.

I am sickened, but not overly surprised.

Truly a sad commentary on the entire process. A child molester is freed on the public once again.

There were whites, Hispanics, and Orientals on the jury.

And don't even try to go there; his own attorneys didn't use almost half of their exclusions.

There were NO blacks. Just guilty whites.

Great for him and us, now maybe we can get back to coverage of more important issues (fat chance) until the next time the dumbass does something untoward with some young boy.
