It's no secret that liberals hate god. You see they know that they ARE GOD. As the "true" fountainhead, (small "f", excuse me Ayn Rand), of all that is, was and will be they hate the inference that someone else is all powerful!

I don't hate God. I don't think about him. He's not a part of my life and I doubt he exists. But I do have a strong antipathy to scriptures, priests, and organized religion. I find it to be mostly primitive nonsense and highly intolerant...and this article is a perfect example of the convoluted thinking that surrounds it.

I don't care if you wish to believe. Just don't try and force your beliefs on me.

Sounds simple but it isn't...because we all belong to the same society. Take abortion. Third term abortion is undoubtedly murder. Trying to pin that label on first term abortion is a real stretch. But it doesn't matter. It's all a smoke screen for the real agenda - forbidding pre-marital sex. Why try to do that? Because the monotheistic religions forbid it and believers have found that its terribly hard to raise their children the way they wish in a "permissive" society.

Interesting. I think it is a little more complicated, however. First, it's pretty hard to hate 'something' you don't believe even exists. Second, keep in mind that a basic belief of liberals is that life is SUPPOSED to be easy and if there WAS a God (particularly a 'loving' God as Christians believe) then by definition life WOULD be easy and since life ISN'T easy, then the logical conclusion is that there is no God.

Liberals HATE the IDEA that their fellow man (make that 'people') could 'fall for' a concept of a loveing God who LETS bad things happen. Hence, their belief (call it their religion perhaps) is that striving to make life EASY as is is SUPPOSED to be, is the responsibility of certain enlightened HUMANS, i.e. them.

Now, if they are the enlightened ones who are to charged with the responsibility of ultimately figuring our how to make life EASY, then it is very disconcerting to them to think that anyone, or anything (i.e. God) might get in their way.

So, you see, it's not easy being a liberal...
