In this week’s edition of the New York Observer (hat tip to the Huffington Post), famed actor, writer, and movie director, Woody Allen, cast aspersions on President Bush, while gushing over former President Clinton. At the end of a piece by Suzy Hansen covering a range of topics from his past movies, his current one, and his life at the age of 70, the article concluded with Hansen asking Allen’s opinion of a number of people. When asked about George W. Bush, Allen responded:

“Arguably the worst administration in the history of the United States...

I'm suppose to value the character judgments of a man who puts the moves on his wife's under-aged adopted daughter and then leaves his wife to marry her?? No wonder this amoral lout loves Bill Clinton. Letchers of the feather...

Thanks all, for the humor. I almost spouted off in response to mr allen's comments - which would have resulted in my first bannishment from FR - thanks for defusing the situation:)

Homer And Jethro Lyrics - I'm My Own Grandpa Lyrics

Many many years ago when I was twenty three,
I got married to a widow who was pretty as could be.

This widow had a grown-up daughter
Who had hair of red.
My father fell in love with her,
And soon the two were wed.

This made my dad my son-in-law
And changed my very life.
My daughter was my mother,
For she was my father's wife.

To complicate the matters worse,
Although it brought me joy,
I soon became the father
Of a bouncing baby boy.

My little baby then became
A brother-in-law to dad.
And so became my uncle,
Though it made me very sad.

For if he was my uncle,
Then that also made him brother
To the widow's grown-up daughter
Who, of course, was my step-mother.

Father's wife then had a son,
Who kept them on the run.
And he became my grandson,
For he was my daughter's son.

My wife is now my mother's mother
And it makes me blue.
Because, although she is my wife,
She's my grandmother too.

If my wife is my grandmother,
Then I am her grandchild.
And every time I think of it,
It simply drives me wild.

For now I have become
The strangest case you ever saw.
As the husband of my grandmother,
I am my own grandpa

Have to agree with Aft_lizard here, Randog - personally, I think you need to find a quiet place and reflect upon your priorities.

Please understand that this list was made before Woody opened his piehole. Adjustments will be made accordingly.

Allen is arguably the worst actor of the 20th century.

In every role, he is the same character......talk about being type-cast.....the ultimate neurotic oversexed elf!

I don't see how a man who married his own adopted daughter is qualified to sit in judgement of ANYONE ELSE.

He's another Hollyweird has-been who can't get any financing for films and who's 15 minutes are long over.

When Woody and Soon-Yi are in bed together, do you think he ever yells, "WHO'S YOUR DADDY?!"

Does he allow her to even answer him? She seems to be his plastic toy.

That woody thing is neck-and-neck with billyblytheclinton as #1 Disgusting Piece of Skin in the country.

A few Woody Allen quotes...

Money is better than poverty, if only for financial reasons.

The lion and the calf will lay down together, but the calf won't get much sleep.

I apply the 'shut up and act/write' tag to Woody Allen. He's made me laugh a lot because of his comedy. I don't laugh at his politics, as they are as misguided as they can be.

To criticize Bush while praising Clinton shows this man has inverted moral character. Wait, didn't he reveal that a few years earlier?

I forget.....

How confusing. Remember that old puzzle: "Brothers and sisters I have none. That mans father is my fathers son."
Glad I don't work in Hollywood!!

"It's one thing to play a hopeless neurotic on screen; quite another to be one in real life."

Woody took his school counselor's advice and writes about what he knows. Maybe it's just me, but all his movies seem to be the same thing, endless neurotic yakking and agnst.
