Here we go.
I would have never thought that the absentees would go stronger for Webb(65-35) than todays voting (60-40) Go figure.
Be honest, you really wanted them to root for the Republicans tonight and they didn't. If they were joing around and the Repubs had held you would say nothing about it.
Cameron wasn't buying it. But, he did mention that Loudon hadn't fully counted their votes tonight. Registrar went home.
You are wrong. I used to be a reporter.......I would have the same attitude if they had been cheerleading the republicans, because I have done it in the past.
So you be honest - you don't know what I wanted them to do.
The Dems will raise taxes - that's for sure.
that's what VETO is for
They won't even have to. They'll just not extend President Bush's tax cuts. In a few years, our taxes skyrocket and they never lifted a finger to do anything.
Well, on behalf of the (at least) 1,148,750 loyal Virginians that DID vote for George Allen, I'd like to apologize to the rest of the country. We tried, guys, and maybe it's not over yet. The fact that my beloved home state--and I really do have an incredible pride in being a born-and-bred Virginian--is sending to the Senate John Warner and (probably) James Webb...ugh. That whining sound you hear all over the Commonwealth tonight is the good Virginia men of the past three hundred and ninety-nine years--Henry, Mason, Washington, Madison, Jefferson, Monroe, Tyler, Lee, Jackson, Stuart, Davis--spinning in their graves. I'm sorry we've failed them today.

Have some sleep.
You can work this out in the morning.
Well, I am gonna pour another Maker's Mark, work a couple of Sudoku puzzles while watching Modern Marvels (The Death Road story) and then put my old, tired head down to rest.
Good night, everybody. It was an experience being here.
4000 vote error?

You did your part, and then some. We've got a 50/50 divided country, and that's what needs to change.
Thank you Moose4 for all your posts on this thread tonight. I appreciate your taking the time to post and offer analysis. I'm just heartsick that it's turning out this way. Sleep well.
Hey man, it's not your fault. I already thanked you once, and I'm very willing to say thanks, again. You kept all of us informed and analyzed with the best of them. Your game was in top form.
Thanks.
Good night.
Well, good night, folks. I'm going to hit the sack and hope my 10-month-old doesn't decide to wake up early. :)
Chin up, FRiends. We've been through worse.

G'night, Moose. I know what you mean. Being a native Virginian means something, even though we're becoming rarities in the Old Dominion.
We'll get up from this, dust ourselves off, and fight again next election. And, with luck, we'll learn some hard lessons, and keep Nancy and Company in the minority where they belong.
You hear it here first, Allen will have the lead after 100% of votes are in, not by much. I will have the info in 10 minutes.
It is over
I was going thru the Absentee ballots but they are updating them realy fast, and it is not looking good anyways.

No way George Allen is going to make up 8300+ votes off just those.

I like that part of the "Old Line State"
