oh my gosh! I can imagine that will come next. I think this guy probably did this before and maybe committed a more serious crime like murder.
Yea, there are 2 other abductions in the area that kind of match the MO. They were before Shawn Hornbeck's abduction.

This is a good place to post updates and new info. It seems there are a lot of idiots on the other threads, acting like it's Shawn's at fault for not seeking help, etc. It makes my blood boil!

Yes, and I am furious. I've lost a lot of respect for Oreilly. It's very plausible for a child to be seduced, shackled, sodomized, and beaten until he has no sense of himself and feels the only universe is the sick one he's stuck in. How dare oReilly to even call the blog postings on the Hornbeck website, "tauntings." May be they were cries for help.
May oreilly have a child bullied and beaten down to the point of having no self esteem and at the sick mercy of pleasing his unworthy authority figures. May be then he'd "get it."
My only concession is that this boy BY NATURE appears to be shy, sensitive and meek. That appears to be the temperment he was born with. He's a beautiful boy. FUC% OReilly.

Immediately BEFORE that he was excoriating the state of Vermont for their soft on pedophiles judicial and legislative record.
But when the man has a blind spot, it's a real doozy. He doesn't seem to GET kidnapping at all when it comes to these monsters. He only gets it when the child is in a home, family or extended family type situation.
That is so stupid. If a child repeatedly submits to abuse and doesn't run tell someone, he doesn't attack the child, he attacks the perp and the lenient judges. But let the child be kidnapped, and if he or she doesn't make a run for it he holds them accountable.

Not watching, but they'd better be super human. Can't wait til they explain the kidnapping of Ben Ownby if they're planning to claim that Devlin isn't what we all think he is, based on some convoluted interpretation of what went on with Shawn.
ya know, I was wondering! Oreilly hasn't brought up this case at all and seemed to be silent about it. Now I know why, he is blaming the boy for not getting away from Delvin.
It is hard to understand, but I can see that Shawn has suffered from Stockholm syndrome, that is easy to see. But what I don't understand is that Shawn was left alone very quickly on after the kidnapping and at that point I don't think the pyschological damage would have been so major that he would have tried to escape, yet he didn't.
I don't know. I don't blame Shawn one but and I think until we have more answers I think everyone needs to withold judgement.
Devlins boss paints a picture of a man who was responsible.
He said that he told Michael to take the day off the day after the boy disappeared.
The boss did drive by Devlins apt. and went to the police because he thought the truck matched the description.
The cops checked out Devlin and gave him a pass..

Questions of the day:
1-Did Tony see Ben?
2-How did they plan on explaining Ben to Tony?
3-Obviously Tony would recognize Ben with so much media coverage of the kidnapping, and the white truck description.
4-It would be hard for Devlin to kill Shawn - how to explain disappearance to Tony's family and other kids Shawn hung out with.
5-Why did Devlin teach Shawn to drive a month ago? To drive the getaway vehicle after the kidnapping? Tony was in the truck when Shawn drove, too, according to news reports, was he in on it?
6-Was Shawn in the truck during Ben's kidnapping?
7-Did Shawn kidnap Ben?
8-Did Devlin ever post pictures of Shawn? Should we be looking for missing boys on porn sites? What about the face scanning technology we heard about used on crowds to find terrorists, can't that be used for this purpose?
