Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

If you’re not bright enough to understand the difference between reasoned debate and “spew what you want” you’re in the wrong place.

You've gotten what you want -- you've all driven the pragmatic conservatives from FR.

That is not correct. Those recently departed are not conservative. Liberal or libertarian, yes. Conservative, no.

They shall not be missed.

Yes, yes, you're right and everyone else is wrong. The 92% of registered members who disagree with you and your syncophantic buddies are all deranged.

I've got news for you, you all could have slinked silently away and no one would have noticed or given a rat's rectum. The annointed 20 can now all discuss pragmatism in excruciating and unchallenged detail.

Have fun.

Many people are misinterpreting a private business ownership for a totalitarian governmental authority over a nation.

Rudy is a liberal. I will fight hard to keep him from winning the nomination

Shout it from the mountain tops and here on FR too. I agree. The fat lady has not even arrived at the theatre much less begin to warm up.

Yes, Nancy was pregnant when she and Ron got married. But he did not send her to Europe for an abortion, which is what many of their Hollywood peers did in that era. She carried her child to term which is what conservatives should do, IMO.

“You’ve gotten what you want — you’ve all driven the pragmatic conservatives from FR.”

Wrong. They’ve gotten what THEY wanted. And that was to be ‘zotted’ off the site.

Was it really too hard just to say ‘I disagree and therefore I am leaving this site’?

“The Republican party is not the conservative party. It’s more conservative than the Democratic party, but it’s not the conservative party and hasn’t been for decades.”

I beg your pardon. This is the party Reagan built. Listen to what our enemies in the media say about us. You’d think we were nothing but a bunch of right wing yahoos.

If there is no conservative party as you say, then we need to bring this one back to its roots and its foundation. Yes we have blocs of voters, but we gravitate to low taxes, small government, patriotism, personal responsibility, the right to speak freely, the right to self defense, the right to be left alone, and espouse common sense. We oppose the imposition of parasitism, socialism, and political correctness religion. You should be able to find more than enough from that list to join with us. If not, you are a liberal.

Demanding pro Life and Liberty candidates from the GOP is Stalinist? My but you are becoming hysterical in your blind support for an abortionist.

Government sanctioned abortion (the wholesale slaughter of millions of innocents) IS Stalinist butchery. Abortionist candidates are a disgrace to God, country, Life, Liberty, and mankind.

“I see how you “Patriots” took care of things last election. Because of you “Patriots”

Oh puleeeze. The Republican Party blew the election. They’ve been sucking it up nicely for awhile now. An unpopular war hasn’t helped, but they went out of their way to do stupid shit...pork spending and deficits, unchecked borders, no enforcement of immigration laws...many others too...The Republican estabslishment lost in 06 and they’ll likely lose in 08 whether it’s with a liberal Giuliani or a conservative. The Party is totally responsible due to lack of leadership.

You've gotten what you want -- you've all driven the pragmatic conservatives from FR. Why don't you stop obsessing about where they've all gone and what they're all doing, and enjoy your barren political existence.
