The main thing right now is we have to secure the border, so the situation doesn’t get worse. Then all these good discussions about what to next can take place. Unfortunately, it will be Jan. 2009 before anyone will be in power who might uphold the oath of office.

Has anyone forgotten the marches of March 2006?

You know the marches where the true allegiances and feeling of the invaders was shown for all to see. The ones where there were hundreds of thousands marching in our streets and it caught many Americans off guard not only by their numbers but the fact that such a huge undertaking could be organized right under our noses through Hispanic media with dumb ole Anglos none the wiser? The ones that had Mexican flags by the thousands with CHE shirts and banners along with ANSWER signs everywhere and ATZLAN claims and signs of our politicians dressed in NAZI garb and telling Europeans to “Go back to Europe”. The ones before the marketing experts got to them to tell them they should fly more American flags because maybe we Americans would forget how they really feel?

We want to give amnesty to them? Not me. They can all kiss my ass for I will never sit by and willingly let them destroy America. The country that has been preserved and past down to us to pass down to our posterity. Too much blood and toil to just hand it over and grant amnesty to any of these socialistic/Marxist.

Just in case anyone has forgotten:

Illegal alien public relations experts are advising their followers to put aside the Mexican flags and tone down their radicalism, but many reconquistadors and their friends can’t help themselves. Hat tip to John A. for the protest photos today from Dallas:

That kind of thinking is exactly what got our country into this mess. All this PC cr#p! Oh, they might play the race card, so what else is new? Maybe it’s time to really stand up to all this BS being crammed in our faces everyday!

NO. Citizenship is a privilege, and amnesty insults those who respected our laws and applied legally.

Amnesty (forgiveness) for lawbreakers cheapens the concept of American citizenship and tells the third world that America is for sale.

Securing the borders? That should have begun on 9/12/01. The Bush administration and their buddies have lost all credibility, and no one believes them anymore.

Hell NO!
Next question?

I am painfully aware that the morons who put this proposed law together made it as odious as possible, in the hope that merely "disgusting" would be swallowed by the American people...

Even if the entire double sided border fence were actually built as authorized?

Even if wall to wall mines, rattlesnakes, alligators and hungry tigers were loose between the two fences...

Take away the ‘freebies’ and they will self deport within a month. For those here illegally, no food - no subsidised housing - no free medical care - no free legal representation - no anchor babies - no free education for their kids, no jobs without proof of legality............(own and own and own...........)

Please. Somebody (anybody) author and present a bill to take away freebies to illegals. It is costing us tax-payers millions of dollars a year.

No FREEBIES - they WILL go home (and, just maybe, get in the back of the line and come here legally.)

No.

I don’t think it’s possible anymore, the world we live in now, to encourage illegal immigration at any level.

I read only a handful of posts on this thread and I agree with what those posts said.

We have to make it more painful for illegals to stay than to go home regardless of border security and building a fence, etc. Stop welfare (well, stop it for everyone but start with illegals). Stop the anchor baby mess. Fine and imprison employers who hire illegals, knowingly or not. If they can’t keep their business successful without employees who are illegal aliens then they shouldn’t be in business anyway. They break our laws coming into this country illegally and continue to break them each day they are here. They get away with a whole lot more than any law abiding, tax paying citizen could ever get away with.

The difference with many immigrants, legal and illegal, is far too many aren’t becoming Americans the way many did during the course of our history. My grandparents were legal immigrants. They managed to maintain their customs, culture while still assimilating and becoming Americans. They learned the language, English, and considered themselves Americans first. They had no desire to ever return to their countries of birth and considered themselves Americans from the moment they reached Ellis Island. Their allegience was to this Country first. I don’t think that’s the case with many who come here today.

So no, hell no on any amnesty for illegals.

I’d have to agree that a major part of ending this stupidity would be to put the 14th amendment bedbug to rest. What are we, like the very last nation to honor this?

NO!

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...

There can be NO divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but ONE flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...

and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people." Theodore Roosevelt 1907

No. It could have been a slime maybe, had they, thank G-d, not shown their true colors with their first protest march. They should all go home, get behind those who have already applied, and wait their turn. If, they are ever allowed in legally, they should be subject to deportation if any photos turn up of them carrying a foreign flag during a protest march unless it’s on fire. I guess my anger over these ingrates is showing.

In a word, “No.” It’s the same word in both English and Spanish.

We must secure the border—We need more guards on this border. We must make it as hard as possible for illegals to enter. Then we start to get the big businesses who hire them. Boards of directors arrested, busesses seized by the government, rewards given to any citizen who turns in an illegal alien. We have Manzanar empty out in the desert we could rebuild. It may sound harsh but if we do nothing and a terrorist uses a nuke on an American City or two—getting the bomb in over the border—their will be such a cry that it will make my thought look tame.

NO.
You don’t reward people for breaking the law. How long they have been living as law breakers doesn’t matter.
And secure borders would make sure that the illegals who should be DEPORTED have to obey our laws to re-enter.
