It was a very good event.

What did Palin have to say? Did she speak from notes and longer than McCain?

Yawn...
Had to get some sleep 50d.
OK — I claim to be a rational person willing to discuss all sides. You appear to me to be either a demo shill or a relatively rabid isolationist. Again, correct me if I’m wrong.
And again, what would be an acceptable pres/vp ticket for you? No boundries - just who would you positively support? Or if you can’t support anyone, that’t OK, just say so.
Comeon. Tell us the answer.

without going into detail - she introduced herself. She gave her qualifications. She stated what was important to her and to the crowd. She spoke well.....without being "shrill". She spoke considerably longer than McCain. I think I saw a link on FR to a CSpan video of the event.

Yes, I was very IMPRESSED by Sara Palin!

As well as McCain and the enthusiastic support of the McCain/Palin ticket by Huckabee and Romeny.

I didn’t understand your “sarc/”

My post was simply meant to say that after a GREAT rally there was no co-ordination on how to get 27,000 people out of a gate locked stadium who either stood or sat on the ballfield for 5 or more hours in 90+ degree heat....except for the 500 VIP folks who got seats.

What is wrong with that?

I stand by my statement: McCain is no "socialist".

By your reasoning, it is fair to label nearly every single social or fiscal conservative a fascist. I suggest you actually meet a socialist or study the programmatic structure of "socialism" before resorting to incendiary statements about who is and who is not a "socialist".

We have been labeled such, and worse, for our stands and beliefs. And, since words mean things, we have to be careful to convey to our intended target populations what is and what is not factual and true about ourselves.

I've already corrected you more than once.

And again, what would be an acceptable pres/vp ticket for you? No boundries - just who would you positively support? Or if you can’t support anyone, that’t OK, just say so. Comeon. Tell us the answer.

I gave you an answer in my previous post to you. It's your problem for pretending it isn't one simply because you don't find it acceptable.

I have to give McCain credit for this scam. His ploy of bringing on board someone who people at least precieve is a conservative has made people forget McCain is a socialist.

No, we are looking 4 years into the future and realize the republicans have a chance.

By your line of reasoning ignoring McCain's 26 year history in post #76 of agreeing with the socialist Democrats makes him a conservative.

And, since words mean things, we have to be careful to convey to our intended target populations what is and what is not factual and true about ourselves.

I've provided you with multiple sources in post #76 including specific information about McCain's socialist tendencies that you conveniently choose to ignore to reach an erroneous conclusion that somehow having an R after a candidate's automatically excludes him from being a socialist and makes him a conservative while you respond with vague and meaningless answers devoid of any specific credible evidence to refute my multiple sources. I suggest you heed your own advice.

No, we are looking 4 years into the future and realize the republicans have a chance.

That is true. The GOP has been constantly looking into the future under the false premise appeasing socialists now will somehow advance the conservative cause. the major flaw with this line of thinking by so many in the party is that they never set a specific deadline when to say no more incremental socialism. It's always sometime in the future becoming and open ended and losing proposition. A little more socialism only begets more socialism.

The irony is the socialist Democrats never consider that an acceptable line of thinking. They constantly pound the socialist line in the present and consequently have succeeded in infiltrating the GOP with their political ideology. Anyone who thinks this is hogwash should refer to the Communist Goals read into the 1963 Congressional record. To quote:

15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

I’ve been there, done that, know what a socialist/commie is. He isn’t. He’s not a Stalinist, Maoist, Marxist-Leninist, Trotskyist, Gramscian or Castroist. Unless you have proof he’s a brainwashed mole, programmed by the NVA or the old SU, this is at an impasse. Your reasoning is faulty. Your disdain for MCain is apparent. Despite your wishes, he’s the nominee. Support the party’s nominee or not, it matters nothing to me. Have a fine day.

That's true if you ignore the facts in reply #76 with multiple sources detailing his political history.
