Liberal CNN Host Campbell Brown Crosses line.........(blaming Sarah for daughters media Spotlight)
Townhall ^ | September 01, 2008 | Matt Lewis

Posted on 09/02/2008 8:06:34 AM PDT by IrishMike

Campbell Brown is blaming Sarah Palin for accepting the vice presidential nomination, and thus putting her daughter in the media spotlight. She also questions whether or not a good mother would have made this decision. This is irresponsible journalism, to say the least -- and a further example of liberal bias which is permeating most cable news networks these days.

Following is the an excerpt:

BROWN: Yeah. I want to begin by asking, you know, what we've been discussing before you sat in the chair. Governor Palin sharing a difficult personal story today. The news her unmarried teenage daughter is pregnant. She plans to have the baby, marry the father.

BOUNDS: He learned about it during the vetting process before his selection. He did not consider it a disqualifier. Governor Palin has a long record of reforming Alaska, taking on the establishment for 13 years. she started out as a civic activist in the PTA, went to the city counsel, on to the mayor of the small town, took on big oil in the oil and gas commission in Alaska then to the governor's office. Her personal family matters never disqualified her from serving public office, serving a higher office in a cause greater than herself. That's John McCain's message. She fits it perfectly and we're happy to have her.

BROWN: Tucker, though, this obviously putting this young woman, Bristol Palin smack in the media spotlight at what's already got to be a very challenging time in her life. I mean, how do you respond to people who wonder why her mother would have subjected her to this scrutiny by accepting this high-profile position?

BOUNDS: I think Governor Palin understands these are serious times with series challenges and it's time to shake up Washington. It was the reason she was have happy to take John McCain's position. She understands we need an approach that includes the alternatives in the renewable fuels. This is an important decision. i think it's dangerous to confuse her decision to get involved and make a difference in the country with a family matter --

BROWN: I recognize that. In an ideal world, it would be private. You know, this is a presidential campaign. Nothing is private. The world is watching. and if we, you know, as much as everyone might want to give this young woman her privacy, you know that's not going to happen. And so you do risk putting her through an incredibly difficult process by accepting this job if you're her mother. You can't deny that, right?

BOUNDS: The Palin family made clear in their statement that they continue to hope this will be a private family matter. That was their intention from the very beginning. Media inquiries and attention are going to happen in the campaign. They understand that. It's important for us as we have a conversation with voters of how we can change Washington, how we can move forward and take on the challenges Americans expect of their public officials. We keep a private matter private among their family. Certainly all of us, the members of the media would expect that from Americans. that's the way we're proceeding.

I’m a little confused, but also want to make a point. You listed Mitt first, but in a different thread you called Mitt a draft-dodger and said that military experience was a prerequisite for the job (although Thompson also was not military).

Anyway, just wanted to point this out in case someone mistakes you for a Mitt supporter and blames Mitt for attacking Palin.

Thanks.

Campbell Brown is the daughter of a CONVICTED FELON who was a Louisiana politician!

******

The same Campbell Brown who threw a lavish dinner party for poor ole Joe Wilson and his victimized wife.

******

Louisinia Insurance Commissioner Jim Brown was found guilty yesterday of lying to FBI investigators, becoming the third consecutive Louisiana insurance commissioner to be convicted of federal charges.

Louisiana Insurance Commissioner Jim Brown, (Governor Edwin) Edwards and Shreveport attorney Ronald Weems, 54, along with two others, were accused of conspiring in 1996 to help Disiere avoid reimbursing the state for assets he was suspected of taking from his failing insurer, Cascade Insurance Co. He was convicted on seven of 13 counts of making false statements to an FBI agent.

It's sink or swim. If McCain gets her off the ticket, then he can't make a decision and gets ripped for flipping and judgement.

We don't need our own Ed Muskey type of situation. We stay with our ticket or say hi to president Obama. That is reality.

Ever see a map of Alaska? Husband works on North Slope. Wife works in Juneau. Kids live in Wasilla, a suburb of Anchorage. Locking one's kids up isn't necessary. BEING THERE WITH THEM - RATHER THAN HUNDREDS OF MILES AWAY - is. Girlie Man: Every seen a map of Alaska? I did two tours in Alaska with the U.S. Coast Guard. First in Ketchikan, Second in Anchorage. I've been to the North Slope, Dutch Harbor, and even Wasilla! What's your point? That there is alot of distance? I guess then you have a problem with our fine men and women in uniform who are serving away from their families!

MSM are the tools of the new liberal-fascist beast.
I believe they can be beaten,they must be defeated,by direct contacts(non mediatic),phone calls,the web,radio,all kind of public events,church.....

In addition McCAIN and PALIN THEMSELVES should backfire the MSM with STRAIGHT TALKS giving tit for tat as many MSM behaviour are unfair and unbalanced!

Make a TV ad with images of that kind of interview by activist so-called “journalists” like Campbell Brown....

The point seems to be that we all know the media and the Obama people are lowlife scums, and Sarah Palin should have expected them to attack the children, starting with Bristol. Based on the expectation that our country's enemies would stoop that low, she should have turned her back on McCain and forced him to choose a weaker VP in order to protect her own children from being the first targets of this barbaric feeding frenzy ... and let these vermin gain power over all of her children, along with the rest of us in January. I can imagine Obama's National Heatlth Care "sorry, but medical care for Trig and those like him isn't in the budget, it's too expensive, but we'll cover euthanasia for children with Downs if that helps." At least the cut-and-run philosophy is entirely in keeping with their war philosophy that the US should let Al Quaeda have Iraq so that instead of risking several hundred soldiers this year we can put off the danger for several extra months before we lose the lives of thousands of civilians on our own soil.

McCain’s spokespersons need to go aggressive on this.

Subsequent to this, Palin must confront this and other issues openly on Wednesday night, including the birth of her Downs Syndrome child and the hateful accusations that were made this week. If she takes a direct approach, she will knock it out of the park. Expose the left for the hateful actions that hurt her daughter and her family... every Mother (and grandmother) in America will be enraged.

I hope the McCain people understand that most Americans don’t have a clue as to what transpired yesterday. It must directly be exposed and confronted by Palin.

The whole experience issue as a whole makes me laugh. The President doesn’t make a move without an army of advisors and will be surrounded by “experienced” people at all times. What matters is their overall ideological direction and ability to hire people who can execute. Clinton had no foreign policy experience and neither did GWB. Biden has alot, but its all based on giving away the store to our enemies. If we could really hire the most competent person for the job, it would be Mitt. He has a brilliant mind by all accounts and is a very skilled manager/delegator. Unfortunately (sarcasm hint) we have to do things the democratic way, which opens the door for personalities and identity politics.

Someone else was saying the same thing on a liberal talk radio show in NYC this morning. I think we are seeing an official left wing talking point in action.

I think that Palin should say in her speech, "Regardless of who wins the election, one thing will no longer be a mystery. We will know for certain what the mainstream media and far left really thinks about women, mothers, working women, and privacy.

Campbell Brown is almost impossible to watch...she uhs and ums more than Barack Obama. And her face turns visibly red when she is aroused, she does not have the temperament to be an interviewer...........They should bring back Paula Zahn who was almost equally horrible but at least she could speak coherently.

according to wikipedia, (who sure isn’t going to dress it up nicely for a lib), in 1999, Campbell Browns father James H. “Jim” Brown Jr., was indicted for lying to the FBI during a routine investigation and served time in a Federal prison and resigned his post,he is an expert on Louisiana politics. (and prominent demmi)

Also, right after college, in the early 90s Campy spent a year teaching English in the Czech republic. (Anybody have photos of party girl in Prague? Im sure she stayed home reading a prayer book at night)

On December 18, Brown gave birth to a son, Eli James Senor, named after his grandfather, James Senor.
Isn’t it amazing, while she is attacking Sarah, poor little 8-month old Eli sits home with his nanny. Mother of the year there Campbell! I bet he’s crying right this minute.

Add it up guys, party girl in Prague, hard driving towards career, liberal dem, no kids till 40? I know some people have a hard time conceiving and are then blessed later in life, but in her case, I bet theres a few examples of partaking in the “feminist sacrement” out there in a medical record somewhere?

What is sauce for the goose, is sauce for the gander.
Her hatred for Sarah is personal. You can tell from the look on her face. She hates Sarah for having the babies she opted out on. I’d bet money. How can we find out?

Mitt, Fred, and hundreds of others passed over by this pick?

They were already passed over by the republican voters.

The key word is "pick". Selecting a defeated presidential candidate as VP has usually been a bad decision.

Besides, how do you know they weren't asked and turned down the offer?
