Obama to Supporters: 'Argue with Your Neighbors, Get in Their Face'
Wednesday, September 17, 2008 | Kristinn

Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois today exhorted his supporters to get extremely aggressive in their communities to persuade their neighbors to vote for Obama in November.

Speaking to a crowd in Elko, Nevada, Obama was quoted by the AP as urging the people to be his 'ambassadors':

"I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face.

"And if they tell you that, 'Well, we're not sure where he stands on guns.' I want you to say, 'He believes in the Second Amendment.' If they tell you, 'Well, he's going to raise your taxes,' you say, 'No, he's not, he's going lower them.' You are my ambassadors. You guys are the ones who can make the case."

Obama has campaigned as a uniter. One can't help but wonder how neighbors will react to people getting up in their faces arguing to them to vote for Obama and how many friendships will be ruined by Obama this fall.

Depending on what they do, it could be a violation of the Ku Klux Klan Act.

If painting swastikas on homes and campaign signs of Bush-Cheney supporters (in 2004) wasn’t a violation of such laws, I doubt there will ever be successful prosecution again.

He wants a riot?

It is criminal to incite a riot.

I have been on edge all day. This comment, along with the hacking of Governor Palin’s email, plus an asinine letter from Roy Dyson printed by my local news-rag, has set me on edge. I hope some of these alpha hotels try to get in my face. If I could contact them, I could give them addresses and locations where they can try to get in someone’s face. I watched that video - I would like to see some of those weak sisters try to get in anyone’s face!

Look up what $cientology calls “fair game” or Islam calls “taquiya”.

That’ll explain it all to you.

We could take up a collection to build him a nice home next to, and just like his brother’s.

Don’t you know it. The entirety of the South is going to be made miserable as well. Wait and see. Punishment will be in store for those who turned away from the smelly, ugly, bisexual one.

I agree with you. 3 of the most die hard democrats I know that have never voted anything but democrat are staying home.....not changing their vote to McCain, staying home.

We are not talking the over 50 crowd here. I would love to talk to my grandmother's Kentucky die hard blue-dog farmer democrats....I can just imagine.

Where I live, for every one phone call or door-to-door solicitation I’ve had from McCain campaigners, I get three for Obama. Before Goveror Sarah Palin was chosen, I told solicitors from both parties that I was disgusted with and alienated from both political parties, which was true. I haven’t had any McCain solicitations since Governor Palin was chosen, but had one Obmama hippy daddy with teen age kids last Saturday afternoon, and all I said to them was a polite, but firm, “no thank you.” I will shut the door in people’s faces if I have to. Getting all in my face about voting for Obama is a sure fire way to get me to vote against him out of spite due to obnoxious solicitation tactics. If his solicitors do as he is saying here, it will backfire.

I’ve already had 3 contacts

1) At work, a short middle aged scruffy looking man with a beard, wearing shorts and a t-shirt walks into my office asking to speak to my boss in an aggravated tone. I tell him my boss has not arrived yet and should be in shortly and his response was “Where is he!? Is he out on a date with Sarah Palin!?” My reaction was no reaction and I continued with my work and asked him to remain seated at the front while the boss arrives.

2) The second episode was a call from a well spoken African American Obama campaign worker asking me to join them in an organizational meeting taking place on a Saturday morning. My response was that I won’t be voting for Obama and will be voting for McCain. His reply was “but you’re a registered Democrat” which I retorted ‘yes, I am a registered Democrat’ but I will not be supporting him which he then gave up and said goodbye.

3) The third was by campaign volunteers knocking on my front door. I peeked through the window on my door, saw what it was, shut my door shade and never opened up.

AS this election gets closer I am definitely hearing this from people who normally vote Democrat...they are staying home. I think that is why the polling will not make a bit of difference once the time gets closer. I am very glad many will be staying home than vote for O. The McCain voters as it gets closer and even a chance McCain is behind...will vote in record numbers. This is too important of an election!!!

If you can engage one of these nuts for a half hour or an hour, that’s time that they are NOT spending with softies that might actually believe the stuff they spew.

I am with you. I do the same thing. I live in Commie Central so I just have friendly banter with the Obama folks, engage them in courteous dialog and an exchange of ideas but I never become confrontational. I sign up for every free Obama bumper sticker. I cause them to waste as much time and hope as possible on me and my family.

I also carry http://isgay.com bumper stickers to fix their Obama bumper stickers.

"I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face."

Since I get some kind of perverse joy out making angry lefties even angrier, I'd just let them get in my face and 'argue' with me, and then announce that I was 'leaning to Obama' until I saw how angry and radical his followers are.

Alan,Alan,Alan always gets this way at election time it seems. He might be decent, but he’s an idiot. I can’t believe that he can possibly really mean all the garbage he spews...he shows how stupid a liberal can be.

Agitprop-agitation + propoganda. He is going straight to the communist handbook.

Anybody got a copy of Saul Alinsky's book? I bet this is in it.
