Researchers from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, using supercomputers and advanced climate models have hypothesised that human actions started causing global warming between 5,000 and 8,000 years ago.
According to the article from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the implementation of agriculture in Asia and widespread deforestation in Europe was the main cause. Specifically, the introduction of rice cultivation and large scale tree removal led to a significant rise in carbon dioxide and methane levels into the atmosphere.
The UW team lead by Steve Vavrus, a climatologist from the University of Wisconsin's Center for Climatic research also think that the build up of greenhouse gases over thousands of years has prevented the start of a new glacial age. I posted a blog last month (November 17th) that talks about this as well.

Alert...see #59.
ice ages are very bad for Humans.
Water vapor is 95% of greenhouse gas and we have no control over it at all.
The Global Warming cultists just jumped a prehistoric shark.
Fred and Barney drove SUVs...powered by their feet. HMMMMMM.
Go to any weather satellite site.
There is visible, infrared, and water vapor ‘views’ of the ‘weather’.
Never seen a CO2 view, ever, on any of them. Must be a reason.
“There ARE”.
I am such an idiot.
Laughable.
What wonderful proof that global warming doesn’t exist.
Several mini ice ages later and we still live.
Finally I can sleep easy.
Let’s see, what is the “Marduk” SUV model made by the Sumerian Motor Company in Ancient Babylon or perhaps the “Xerxes” sports car made by the Persepolis motor division of Persian Motors? B-) B-P

Oop's. And Wonmug's.
And in the 1980s, warming meant an ice age was imminent, because warming was proof of cooling; and cooling was proof of warming.
Somebody must have found some old articles, and reworked them into the present mantra.
Trained beavers.
It’s the only answer.
If the creators of that site lead by example and “go first”, I will dutifully follow them.
