Let's see:
1. Pakistan, with all its Islamofacist problems have nukes and the Gov is fighting just to maintain control of those nukes;
2. Iran is developing medium range missle systems (as seen today) and frantically enriching unranium while they jerk the world community around. Why? Because they are developing nuke capable systems. The Mullahs want their 13th Imman to crawl out of his well to bring on Armageddon.
3. North Korea has broken the seals on their uranium enrichment facilities and kicked out the IAEA. For what purpose? If you don't know, you are just plain stupid (but thanks billy clinton and not-so-albright...your giveaways worked really well didn't they?);
4. Venesuela's totalitarian regime is schmoozing with Iran, Russia, and North Korea, for what purpose? Western hemis-sphere power, with oil control and possible nuclear warheads which would give them extortion power!

Western civilization is going to be in a world of hurt in the near future, and we are bringing it upon ourselves due to lack of BALLS and feel good political correctness.

The worst part of this growing nuclear proliferation is the unwillingness of our current US Obami Marxist regime to understand it, and Western civilization in general to do anything about it.

I sincerely hope I die before I witness what is coming. However, you friggs who voted for the "community organizer" will pay not only your price, but your/my children and grand-children's price - their lives or at the very least their livlihoods. So I say go to HELL and FRY!

Watch, as Western civilization is either blackmailed by the threat of or actually experiences a nuke explosion in one or more of our cities. You think our enemies can't do it? You're naive.

Want my solution? Bomb/nuke North Korea, Iran, and North-east Pakistan into oblivion! Wipe those areas of the face of the planet. Sorry about the collateral damage, I think its worth preserving our way-of-life and my/our good children. Our Greatest Generation thought the same thing about Germany, Italy, and Japan. We didn't care how many we killed until we won!!!

Then we dare Russia and China to retaliate with our TRIDENT subs sitting off their coast. Guess what? They will want to talk because they actually care about their families, unlike the Islamofacists. They understand MAD.

I'm a realist - we all die, sooner or later. So I don't care who gets DEADED in the effort to maintain LIBERTY and our world-beneficial way of life while we are alive. BOMB THEM INTO GLASS!!!

Democrats delayed the Iraq attack for months.

Biden does not view the IRGC as a terrorist organization.

Hussein wants to kiss I'm-a-genocide.

Madeleine toasted Chia--Hussein wants a limo ride.

And as noted Iranian observers are rubbing their hands with glee.

Soon we will have I'm-a-genocide and Chia doing a duet of "If you got the money, Honey, I got the time."

Substituting "the bomb" and "Shahab-Dingdong".

The Twelfth Imam from Mombasa needs that chaos thing to come out of his well.

I think most thinking Americans feel the same way, I know I do, but our leaders are stupid and have been since RR was replaced with the older Bush.

"This is just what I thought would happen!! Weakness shows, and they are testing our mettle, and behold, we have a Commander in Sleep!!!"

Worse, we have a "community organizer" and a part-time Senator who has NO experience in the realities of how ugly the world can be. We have a boy in charge of our Nation.

This is in fact nuclear blackmail.

We are experiencing it as we speak. Our Commander and our People are the target. The leader is beholden to it, and putting all of us at great risk.

It is horrid isnt it? Do the American People even know of this situation? Do your friends and neighbors back there?

I wish you were right about your "Americans" comment. I spend my older years now reading everything on the Web and watching Fox New...I'm not convinced.

My only hope is in us old-time Vets and Active-Duty military will stand up when the time comes. Best.

Yes. As I said a few hours ago, they would launch a series of these, to ratchet up the terror.

I said, “Thinking Americans”, that pretty much narrows it down to hard line conservatives, who are in the minority but I believe will start gaining converts fast if a Nuke hits South Korea or Japan.

Ya know out of all the people on this board, I find you who is living abroad, to be the most sensible and informed about that part of the Asia. That's what happens when you live outside of the American Idol society for a time.

Yes, we ARE experiencing "nuclear blackmail" already.

So what do you think about carpet-bombing North Korea installations into oblivion? I realize they have hundreds/thousands of weapons (artillary) pointed at Seoul which is a major problem, but should we allow them to perfect their nuclear arsenal without a fight? I'm tired of this ineffectual diplomacy crap.

I don't want to see such a war, but NK nuclear arms? What say you? And what say the Japanese authorities? Personally, I'm okay with Japan building their armaments back up. I know about their Constitution and their guilt about WWII and their reluctance about nukes, but they are NOW a democracy and good people.

Again, I say destroy North Korea without warning. Of course, it won't happen, but what say you living in ground zero? Is that possible?

"Do your friends and neighbors back there?"

Sorry, forgot to answer. But no, they don't. North Korea is a non-starter in most American's lives. Has always been so (the forgotten war, et al). I personally believe those who pay a little attention still believe in the clinton/albright solution, and so they think things are fixed. Plus, the IAEA makes a lot of noise.

NK is too far away to impact them...so they believe. Sorry, our countrymen are too often distracted by immediate gratification and smooth-talking politicians.

I kinda figured you made that up because I just couldn’t accept that the said this part “but now is not the time to argue the past”.

It is a shame they forget the 47,000 Americans stationed in Japan and the tens of thousands of US military right now as we speak in South Korea.

Can it (North Korea) be THAT "far away" for average Americans?? Talk about mental abandonment and insularity. Sheesh. (I kind of expected it though).

A much more "surgical" approach, an extremely pinpoint mission, resulting in the deaths of maybe 20-50 select North Koreans, might be all that it takes, only if a) it can be done in the first place; b) the alternative/aftermath is something we can both live with and deal with and we could manage any blowback.

Few options. That's one of them though. You can use a shotgun approach. Or you can use a rifle approach. Who really knows what is best. Also is that assured is that appeasement itself is a dead end street and only has value for so long.

To be fair it is a little early in the day for most Americans to be up and about and most haven't heard about N. Korea's little bomb blast and missile launches of last night/this morning(depending on where they are). I had to inform my family of it and they are deeply concerned. The one you should be worried about aren't the average Americans but the weak kneed do nothing we have in the WH.

Granted a lot of Americans are going to do like my 16 yo GrandDaughter and say, "What country was that?", when I was telling them all about the nuke test and the missiles, but at least she has an excuse, she is a brain dead teenager.

I see your point. I was aware of course of the time difference and also the three day weekend. I think the firestorm of interest should start up in earnest, then, in the next 3-4 hours.

Yes, many, especially here on FR, will be scared sh**less, but many will not see the importance of it either. As you said earlier, it is Nuke blackmail plain and simple.

Another point to consider; the results and technical data from this nuclear test will be shared with Iran. Consider this a proxy event for the mullahs.

Working together, their combined ballistic missile technology and nuclear weapons proficiency has continued to rise. Nothing will stop Iran from being able to replicate this test on Iranian soil before the end of Obama's term.

To which I ask, "Then what do we do?"
