That and I got tired of hearing Levin praise Hannity and call everyone else backbencher

Backbencher? What does this mean?

Van Jones? Really? Keeping in mind the poster’s premise that Beck is “knocking on Rush’s door” in terms of influence and importance, let’s call that Rush was so great an asset in the 1994 landslide that he was made an honorary member of the incoming freshman House class.

Van Jones. Conservative House. Conservative House. Van Jones.

Going with Rush on this one.

Levin is just jealous that Beck rises in popularity ....

Love 'em all, including Mark, but if he starts shooting his own --in light of what Glenn has done--I'll raise some serious hell with Levin. I suspect Mark has some complaints about Glenn's material, which Mark may feel has been "borrowed" and not credited.

I also heard Mark make a snide remark about the NYT bestseller spot....both were claiming #1.

So far Glenn has made some pretty outreagous claims, postions, etc. but he's been able to back 'em up, imho.

Agreed 100%. Down here in South Florida, we’ve got WIOD. They play Beck and Rush at their normal time, Todd Schnitt from 3-6, Hannity after that, and then Levin on tape.

I like Schnitt, but I’d rather they drop Schnitt’s 3rd hour and play Levin 5-8, then Hannity on tape delay.

It is my contention that the left is trying to baptize Beck our leader FOR us, so that they can then later tear him down.
Rush has been through it and so has Levin and remained standing, Beck is a much easier target, and he is setting himself up for a fall with the help of the left.

How is the left doing this? Beck has an audience flocking to him because he is doing something and not just mouthing words. Conservatives are sick of people going through the motions and not laying anything on the line to win (Speaking mostly of our elected Republicans). Glenn Beck has been laying it on the line and he is getting results.

If the best Levin has is to make fun Beck's drunken days and say that Levin was a conservative way back when, Levin ain't got much to communicate any longer. And Levin CAN be a brilliant mind.

Why would Ford have retired? Wouldn’t he have just run again for his 2nd term? I’m pretty sure he would have been allowed to as you’re allowed to run for two terms and since he filled out 1/2 of Nixon’s he still would have been eligible.

Even if he didn’t, I’d think Dole as the VP would have been in good shape.

And while no one knows what would have happened from 77-80 if Ford had won, if we assu,e the same things happened(the Iran hostage crisis, the bad economy, high infaltion, gas lines, etc...)it would have been very difficult for any Republican to win. A win in 1980 would have been 4 straight wins for the GOP, which would have been extremely difficult given all that had happened. Who knows, though.

Maybe after Carter lost in 76 and suffering 3 straight defeats the dems would have turned back to the glory days of Camelot and Teddy would have won in 80 as the public got fed up with a decade of GOP rule.

All interesting things to ponder.

Rush, Hannity, Levin, and Medved only want to eclipse the dems....it is not about improving the country, or returning to the smaller govt concept we came from, but WINNING ELECTIONS. . . l. . . . It is D vs R, and a victory for the R is more important than the country.

Nobody can slash a liberal into thin slices quicker than Mark Levin. Your right I listen to both. Beck has plagiarized Levin’s book for months for his show content. Listening to Beck is great for 7th grade polysci, if you want a real political and history education with deep thought, Mark is it.

Ok, so Beck is “lifting” Mark Levin, but he sounds like a 7th grader? Huh? Be consistent in your criticism.

The only thing that Mark and Beck talk about in common is the Constitution. That’s it.

Beck spearheaded the Van Jones effort. Levin followed his lead.

Beck has said McCain would have been worst than Obama. Levin disagreed.

Beck says that both parties are corrupt. Levin disagrees.

I fail to say any “lifting”. I only see jealously. That’s it!

LOL. I love you Levinites, you just cant admit Beck has done more damage to the left in one year than Levin has done in his whole career, and hes been around for quite awhile. You guys just wont accept the fact that levin was an idiot to start a fight with another conservative over something as stupid as a comment about a RINO like McCain. Pretty stooopid move.

This discussion wouldn't even be taking place if he had just kept his big mouth shut.

I wish I could say this nicer but you are dead wrong.

“It is my contention that the left is trying to baptize Beck our leader FOR us, so that they can then later tear him down.”

That’s what I was thinking.

As for this silly conflict between two conservatives—it doesn’t interest me.

We have a Marxist overthrow of our constitution going on. Remember?

Did Levin have some secret information no one else knew about, had no access to, that Glen Beck stole?

Maybe if the people he supposedly stole this stuff from actually did something with it, Beck wouldn't have anything to steal.

And Mark always mentions Free Republic!!!

Yep, even with that help for his thread, 3 hours of Levin still can't compete with just 1 power-packed hour of Beck, numbers don't lie, also look for Beck to eventually wrestle the Foxnews' ratings leadership throne from BOR.

Im not going to argue the point because this whole thing is silly. Levin is a conservative...Beck is a conservative. It is stupid for one conservative to attack another over a GD RINO...which McCain is. It gives ammunition to the left, it accomplishes NOTHING but to split people into Beck/levin camps and it is petty.

Mark was DEFENDING OJ. Haven't been able to warm up to him since then.

I really admire people who refuse to let ensuing events change their opinions.
