Twelve people have been killed and 31 wounded in a shooting spree at a Texas military base by what officials believe was possibly carried out by an Army officer.
The suspected gunman was identified by ABC News as Major Malik Nadal Hasan.
The shooter was killed and two other suspects, who are also soldiers, have been apprehended, Lt. Gen. Robert W. Cone said.
The gunman used two handguns, Cone said. He wasn't sure if the shooter reloaded the weapons during the attack.
The truth may never be know.
Which leads me to believe one of two things, maybe both:
a) Since they read Arabic, they found him online and an international terrorist connection;
or
b) they had some call ins immediately from Maryland and elsewhere who knew the guy personally and reported how devoted of a Sunni fanatic he was, and they (C.A.I.R.) read the tea leaves and moved to batten down the hatches with utmost urgency.
Very curious, that one.
Even I found an Arabic language Middle East newspaper source that called the guy a Muslim right in the opening paragraph. Sheesh. And the US media at that time?? Still PSTD-ed out, ignoring the 1,000-pound camel in the living room.
I’ll go out on a limb and say he most likely has a secret security clearance. Investigations are every 10 years.
Shep was talking about how, before they would reveal his name, that his name would create a major reaction...........which we all know, of course, was a Muslim name.
Now after the fact, and after the interview with a guy who heard him say all kinds of jihadist things, they're trying to pretend it doesn't matter.
Yikes. It drives me CRAZY. It's not one bit "racist" to recognize that Islam is a violent religion.

Interesting. Apparently he is a suicide-bomber wanna be. Col. Terry Lee said Hasan seemed kind of “happy” about the recruiter getting shot and killed not so long ago.
hubby couldn’t take cnn anymore..i think he lasted about 30 minutes, or at least until larry kind’s stupid questions.. his words. :)

Everything in the new ‘Obamaworld’ is bizarre. Because our president is a sociopath,narcissist and compulsive liar..we can’t trust the information coming out from our government anymore. His administration is meddling..BIG TIME! The question is why?
I’m really freaked out tonight. Not by the shooting - that’s bad enough. It’s the enablers and supporters of Islam in the name of “liberty” and other fakeries. Like the one on this thread I’ve been arguing with. And another tool on another forum. It’s their very attitude that has led to the killings today.

There is a glaring consistency that this POS has with other Islamo-terrorists: total cowardice. Shooting unarmed persons. Like planting IEDs, having bombs carried on donkeys, kids, or mentally retarded women and sent into markets. Sending civilian planes into buildings.
Remember the retired Colonel Lee who had said on Fox interview how Hasan thought the Muslim shooter who killed the two recruiters in Little Rock was a good example of Muslims standing up to Americans.
Although dead or alive he will inspire others, the fact that he is alive is extremely unfortunate.
Not quite quacks, now more sophisticated and educated..but still NOT MD’s..good advice...but then I am biased.

Possibly (emphasis on possibly) could have been misinformation given out purposely early on when they thought there may have been additional shooters. To flush them out.
But...that’s the only possibility my husband and I can discern as why they would claim his death then know they’d probably have to deny it.
It could just well be an early report error.
How many times has this happened by that protected 5% of the population??
