Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site
12/11/2009 | Jim Robinson

Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site... or so they say... and they might even be right.

We don't go for any of that godless left-wing big government socialist malarkey. And we do put our faith and trust in God, not government. We are pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Family, pro-Country and pro-Liberty.

We do not believe that government or science knows what's best for us or our children. We will make our own decisions thank you very much.

Every once in a while some group of posters get together and try to bend Free Republic to their will. Now, we tend to be pretty free-wheeling around here and will take a lot of guff and a lot of obnoxious insults from a lot of people, but eventually a breaking point is reached.

For example, when a group of RINO lovers recently banded together to try to force FR to accept an abortionist/gay rights RINO as our presidential candidate, they soon found themselves on the outs.

And a few years ago a group of evolutionists tried to force FR over to their way of thinking and they soon found themselves on the outs.

FR is a pro-God, pro-Creator, pro-Life, pro-Liberty site.

And now we have yet another group of Darwinists trying to have their Darwinist way with us. Well, as I've said before what doesn't kill us will only make us stronger.

Darwin Central has again declared war on FR. They have ping lists and email lists and will try to pull away as many FReepers as they possibly can. So be it. Those who would rather go with Darwin, please go. I sure as hell won't try to stop you.

FR will remain a pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Liberty, pro-Creator conservative site.

We wholeheartedly believe that our unalienable rights are a gift from God our Creator not from man or government. And no man, no government will ever deprive us of same.

Keep your powder dry.

There is a difference between wanting Roe v. Wade repealed and being pro-life.

Also, I do distinguish between the terms evolutionist and Darwinist.

Of course I mock them. They are pretenders in pretty suits and gowns. Jesus didn't send His Spirit to your priests, He sent it to "all who believe". Just because you have been indoctrinated to another "truth of traditions", doesn't nullify the Word of God. Your priests rant about following Scripture as a guide, yet they want to keep pounding conformity to a dead legal system and membership in an idolatrous organization as a means of salvation. Sorry, we will disagree, and I will cast whatever aspersions on any thing I wish. It's done every day to us Protestants when the RCers' claim an exclusivity not based in Scripture, but just their "interpretation". I'll take Jesus. You can pile in the Waaaaambulance with the rest.

BTW, my address on here is: wvkayaker. You can place that in the TO: box when bitching about me. I'll be happy to respond.

Got Gold? Yep, that's what Jesus would wear Himself, isn't it? Not!

Would you care to explain how your posts exhibit and embrace the Holy Spirit?

YOU show us first where your post exhibit and embrace the HS. Show us how gossiping, false accusations to some here and not here and sarcasm fit in w/the Holy Spirit. Show us how when truth is presented that you can't handle, you accuse someone of 'baiting' you. That tactic has been over used by you.

Truth is heat to you, you accuse others of baiting to keep it at bay. Don't post what the hierarchy of the CC says - because YOU don't represent them at all - explain YOUR words, YOUR actions in your words.

Where in your gossiping, lies of omission, false accusations and sarcasm posts do you exhibit and embrace The Holy Spirit?

There is also a debate of different between Darwin and those Darwinist who hijack Darwin theories.

Was Darwin an atheist, an agnostic or a Christian. Why do people make such a bid deal out of this?

I won't respond to baiting or gutter tactics. I won't engage you in a p*ssing contest either. I will only respond to legitimate questions and comments, otherwise you are still on ignore.

Free Republic: fringe, fundamentalist, and anti-Catholic. Gotcha.

There are more Catholic threads on FR in religion than you can shake a lemur at

Are you still a Mormon? Your theology can easily handle whatever "truth" works today, doesn't it. Milk, not meat, for the newbies! Evolution is nothing, when you can be god yourself...

Abracadabra doesn't work so good any more, nor can we access any decent pebbles for translations...

I gave your question some additional thought during my morning run ad have been chewing it ever since. I think the necessity for Mary to be pure had a lot to do with the cultural norms. Cleanliness was a very important aspect of Jewish culture and religion. For example only specially purified and cleansed priests could approach the Holiest of Holies in the Temple. As Mary was the ark of the infant Jesus she too had to be immaculate.

Someone calls us YAKS and y'all get huffy when the RC abbreviation is used.

Is that the "royal us?" I called YOU Yak as a shortened version of your screen name.

I did this because you called me Pete and I thought you want us to address each other on more familiar terms.

The Roman Catholic church pretty much personifies the Pharisaical judgment crew, said Yak, engaging in a vast swath of Pharisaical judgment.

Yep, and why the Catholics here don’t realize they’re on hostile ground is beyond me. Bigoted trash is casually posted about us and Mormons and the offenders are routinely ignored and encouraged. Solid, faithful conservatives, Christian conservatives even, who happen to think evolution is good science are routinely mocked and banned. Makes lots of sense - not.

Yes, when you include all the anti-Catholic threads calculated to breed derision and contempt for, and misunderstanding of, the Catholic faith.

Of course, that would rather well serve to prove DGray's point.
