Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site

Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site... or so they say... and they might even be right.

We don't go for any of that godless left-wing big government socialist malarkey. And we do put our faith and trust in God, not government. We are pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Family, pro-Country and pro-Liberty.

We do not believe that government or science knows what's best for us or our children. We will make our own decisions thank you very much.

Every once in a while some group of posters get together and try to bend Free Republic to their will. Now, we tend to be pretty free-wheeling around here and will take a lot of guff and a lot of obnoxious insults from a lot of people, but eventually a breaking point is reached.

For example, when a group of RINO lovers recently banded together to try to force FR to accept an abortionist/gay rights RINO as our presidential candidate, they soon found themselves on the outs.

And a few years ago a group of evolutionists tried to force FR over to their way of thinking and they soon found themselves on the outs.

FR is a pro-God, pro-Creator, pro-Life, pro-Liberty site.

And now we have yet another group of Darwinists trying to have their Darwinist way with us. Well, as I've said before what doesn't kill us will only make us stronger.

Darwin Central has again declared war on FR. They have ping lists and email lists and will try to pull away as many FReepers as they possibly can. So be it. Those who would rather go with Darwin, please go. I sure as hell won't try to stop you.

FR will remain a pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Liberty, pro-Creator conservative site.

We wholeheartedly believe that our unalienable rights are a gift from God our Creator not from man or government. And no man, no government will ever deprive us of same.

Keep your powder dry.

Fringe? In the liberals fevered little minds perhaps.

I am no Bible pounder, but have absolutely not issue with the fundamentalist sector either. Spiritual in my own private way, and fanatically pro-God in support of those who chose a more outward expression of faith.............

Oh yeah, a Life Member of the NRA, the libs left that out for some reason....................

That seems to be about it, based on some of the less appropriate comments they’ve made on this forum.

DC is DU with an evolution slant.

Well, he certainly couldn't have lived that long, so I guess you're right.

On the other hand, maybe he just missed that creation of a new species by a day, after he left.

It sounds like something big happened here, and you and I missed it. Based on this thread, I’m guessing there was much more than discussion happening on the CREVO threads.

If this is a fundamentalist Christian site, why does the owner allow so many Catholic threads?

Yeah, wagglebee pinged me to it, IIRC.

I’m sure there’s weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth going on over at DC on their hidden forums.

I would say that they were darker skinned (or one light and one darker). Then they would have the dna to be able to produce a variety of skin colors in their offspring.
Dark skinned people and light skinned people and people with medium skin are all just people. It doesn’t matter what color Adam and Eve’s skin was. He is no respector of persons.

I assume, from what I am seeing on this thread, there is another spin-off site like Liberty Post, only this time for evangelical Darwinists?

I believe that it is possible to be a Christian, believe in God and be thoroughly conservative in social matters without being a "right wing fundamentalist." Or at least not feeling the need argue issues from a fundamentalist canon.

If I find myself ever having to quote bible passages as an argument in secular matters, I will consider myself to have a defective education. There is no moral, ethical and principle of fundamental justice that can only be argued from a religious perspective.

Of course, the perverts, the principal driving force behind rhetorical and physical attacks on Christian churches and Christians in our country, generally, and on Free Republic specifically are unaware of this clear dichotomy.
Their only motivation is whatever it takes to validate their sick lifestyles: ad hominem attacks, a creative pottymouth, palpable rage and the comical argument that perversion is a civil right, with corollary rights such as desecrating Christian churches and disrupting religious services.

I am glad to see that "political correctness" is finally being recognized on FR. It is a time waster, and simply a means to stall or frustrate debate, with mindless aphorisms like "We are better than that." Or the "Rule of Law" is the end itself, rather than the means to a higher end: a just outcome."

I hope also, that the sleepers in FR, which seem to come in waves (2005 is my favorite year) must be rooted out. Sites like DU have no such problem. I do not suggest their kill now and think about it later method of civil debate, but there must be a limit to repeated abuse to reason posted day after day by the same half dozen posters on the hottest ongoing issues.I look forward to reading the comments on this thread.

"Not all freepers are Christians . Some are Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu, Atheists, Greek Orthodox, maybe Quaker, Moromon, Roman Catholic or whatever."

I am sure that Jim is not implying we that Catholics, Greek or Roman rite, are not Christian or that Catholics cannot also be conservative.

The question was meant to be divisive as it has no bearing on the gift of salvation.

I’m not a Darwinist, and I’m not religious either. I AM a flaming limited government conservative/(small l) libertarian, and feel at home here.

I guess I’ll just hang around here as long as I can. lol

“I’m here for the CONSERVATISM!”

There is a difference between atheism and being anti-religion. The people Jim is talking about are the rabid anti-religion people, the childish anarchist types who think they are intellectually superior and are for “pure science”.

I’m curious as to how the creationists would answer the question - were Adam and Eve white or black? If God created white people first, does that mean he loves them most?

We should all have Noah’s DNA in our veins if the Bible is true, right? We could certainly find out - could we handle the answer?

We? You got a frog in your pocket? Put me down for "WGAS," especially since-no matter which belief system you adhere to-we all have a common ancestor. Until you actually find Noah's body, there is no way to tell if you are his descendent or not.
