LAKE JACKSON, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Congressman Ron Paul today endorsed Adam Kokesh, Republican candidate for Congress in New Mexico’s third district.

“As a fellow Veteran, Adam understands the many challenges facing our brave men and women in Uniform and the steps we must take to strengthen our national defense.”

Said Dr. Paul, “Adam Kokesh has been a tremendous supporter of mine. Now, it is time for me to support him.

“As a fellow Veteran, Adam understands the many challenges facing our brave men and women in Uniform and the steps we must take to strengthen our national defense.

“Adam Kokesh has dedicated his life to fighting for Liberty. He has set himself apart as one of the bold young leaders our Country sorely needs as we strive to restore our Freedoms and what has made America the greatest nation in history. I am very happy that Adam has decided to run for Congress and wholeheartedly endorse him.”

For more information on Adam Kokesh, please visit www.KokeshforCongress.com.

Congressman Paul’s endorsement comes through his Liberty PAC, a Republican leadership PAC committed to supporting Liberty minded candidates across the country.

Said Liberty PAC director Jesse Benton, “Adam Kokesh is a terrific candidate who is going to ask tough questions like: ‘Why is Ben Lujan voting to run up crushing budget deficits?’, ‘Why has he allowed President Obama to expand the war in Afghanistan?’, and, ‘Will Ben Lujan stand up for the rights of his constituents and work to reform the Patriot Act?’ The constituents of New Mexico’s 3rd district deserve answers to these questions. Adam Kokesh will hold Mr. Lujan accountable.”

Pity Ron Paul drinks the anti-war Kool-aid.

Paul gets branded as a kook because he's been willing to go against the grain on the Federal Reserve and the folly called the War On Drugs.

No, Paul gets branded a Kook because he takes the position that the US is responsible for 9/11, because he think the Air Force is unconstitutional, because he thinks we can defend our country with a couple of submarines, because he enjoys the company of Alex Jones and Don Black, because he believes that sticking our head in the sand regarding world affairs will keep us safe, etc, etc, etc..

I had no doubt. Personally, I'll continue to use Federal Reserve Notes, they worked for the Watergate plumbers after all, but to each their own.

Cash in with a Kokesh Coin!

By Andrew Sharp, on Feb 18, 2010

Today we are thrilled to announce the release of the brand-new Kokesh for Congress silver medallion, a limited-edition silver piece with Adam's picture engraved on one side. Produced by the American Open Currency Standard (AOCS), these medallions are available to anyone who makes a donation of $50 on our website and enters "AOCS" in the comments section.

The Kokesh for Congress medallion is an ounce of .999 fine silver, struck in brilliant proof-like collector's grade mirror finish. The obverse features meticulously sculpted original artwork of Kokesh and Lady Liberty sharing the call to a revolution.

Adam has been a proven defender of sound money, as well as an outspoken critic of the inflationary policies of the federal reserve system and fractional reserve banking. We are happy to partner with AOCS to promote sound money and local currencies.

In addition to being a timeless classic for collectors, the medallion doubles as an AOCS-Approved private voluntary barter currency that can be used like a gift certificate of equal value within the rapidly growing network of merchants across the country, who actively trade goods and services for honest money.

Be a part of this historic offer and donate $50, $100, $250, or $500 today, and remember to enter the code "AOCS" in the comments section.

Special thanks to Rob Gray and everyone at AOCS for helping put this project together

Wonder where he got the idea?

Paul gets branded b/c he is a kook. He exposed himself during one of the Pubbie primary debates on National TV. I saw it and knew that he does not stand with America.

He is a poseur.

Comparing Ron Paul to Washington, Jefferson and Adams is mental disorder.

That's cool. I can chip in a few bucks. I'm expecting $12 from my yearly google blog hits payment.

I learned everything I needed to know about “protracted foreign wars” on 9/11.

Or, have you forgotten?

Cute line but inaccurate. I wish people would read their full speeches in context of actions (such as Washington’s infamous line in context of a specific war between Spain and France).

It is my firm belief that Paul supporters should follow the Rudybots and be shown the door from FR since, by their solidarity with Code Pink, they are in direct opposition with what this forum stands for.
