More photos of the DC "Kill the Bill" rally!

On Thursday evening my husband and I made the decision to drive to Washington D.C. to be part of the "Kill the Bill" protest on the Capitol lawn.

We had been a part of the 9-12 DC Tea Party, having been part of the Tea Party movement since it's beginning, and have a vested interest in making sure this monstrosity doesn't pass (it is pending as I type this).

We drove to DC Friday evening and drove back Saturday, not able to stay for the entire event because of church responsibilities Sunday morning, but we were thrilled to be a part of this huge gathering of American citizens, and I hope these photos give a feel for what we were about, and how powerful a voice "We the People" have.

As the protest developed and our loud voice was heard, we were told by Michelle Bachmann and others in Congress that our being there indeed was having an effect on what was going on inside the Capitol building in front of us. (The Slaughter of the Constitution went down while we were there).

We broke up to go into the Congressional office buildings and "visited" the wavering Congressmen (we spent most of our time at John Boccieri's office).

If the bill passes, you can be assured that our fight is not over. We must win this battle, and if they succeed in passing this destructive, unconstitutional bill, we will fight to have it overturned.

These are a few of my photos of the event. May God bless and have mercy on America!

You got that right - we are not going to lose the war! Jesus is Victor!!

By the way I found out a coworker attended the rally in DC on Saturday and sent him the link to this thread!

(Hi, Ken, if you are lurking...)

Thanks again for the pictures.

I've heard estimates from 30,000 to 60,000, so take your pick. ;)

(Oh yeah.....the MSM said 2,000. LOL!)

I wonder if anyone got pics of the Republican Congress
men and women on the Balcony with their “KILL THE BILL” sign. That was wonderful! AND King coming out with the
poster of Pelosi...wow, I will never forget this day, ever.

Oh, yikes. I saw a photo of that "Kill the Bill" thing somewhere, but don't remember where it was! (I'll look and see if I can find it).

Yes. WONDERFUL day. You could sense that we were part of something much greater than ourselves, something very important.

And even though Pelosi and Obama broke enough knee caps to get their stinking bill passed, we did make a difference, and will continue to do so.

That is just CRAZY!

If you turned around, I was the one in a red shirt that said, "Land That I Love" and my husband had a tan shirt with our son's Unit's logo (a skull, LOL!) on the front. He was yelling so loud that he lost his voice, so I'm pretty sure you heard him. :)

This is SO cool!

It's VERY cool....I only wish I had known there were
freepers within shouting distance! My sister and her
husband were with me and my husband. We got in our car at
7:00 PM after work on Friday, and drove straight thru
from central Illinois to Fairfax Va. Took the train
in from there. And thanks.....do you have a pic of you and your hubby?

Yes I do.

I'll freepmail it to you.

And yikes. You had to be TIRED. Did you stay through Sunday?

We drove Friday (only 7 hours for us), and had to go back Saturday night.

Yes......we were beat. We left DC around 6:30 PM and drove
about 30 miles. Spent the night somewhere in Maryland.
Got home around 11:00 PM Sun night.....just in time
to go back to work Monday. We pretty much decided
to go at the last minute. We felt it was important
even though were all pretty sure they were gonna shove
it through, that we could show our children,
and someday tell our grandchildren, that we tried our best to stop it.
I so identify with your comment about being in the car
and saying "we're crazy"....said the exact same thing to my hubby!
