Airing right now...said the real unemployment is at 17.5%...showing tons of people with masters, bachelors, phd's, you name it...unemployed for 2 years...can't even get jobs at Target.
U6 (devined of course, they don’t supply it) is hire in some states, and that is far as I will go...

Nope. If anything this was a focus on just how badly private businesses have been killed. What I chuckled at was the reporter looking shocked at a guy with his Masters degree saying he just took a job offer from Target (his first offer in over a year)...for $9.25 an hour...he is a fiber optics engineer.

Actually, I’m glad they didn’t point fingers at either political party. They didn’t have to. Airing this two weeks before the election was simply brutal for any incumbent, and particularly those who are in close elections.
The only thing that would have made it better would have been to contrast it with the high style that people like Harry Reid live in but, for “60 Minutes”, what they did report was devastating enough.
This is amazing news! I haven’t watched 60 Minutes for years, but I just hit the record button for tonight’s episode. I have to see this for myself.
We are not even considering them because we know that as soon as the economy turns around, they will leave us to take another job but it's pretty incredible nevertheless. Also, the economy here in New England is actually doing better than most parts of the country. I can only imagine what it must be like elsewhere.

I figured 60 Liberal Minutes would just down play the real problem, blame Bush, make excuses for Obama, etc. This is nothing short of shocking especially this close to an election. Maybe they are prepping the battle space for Hilary.
