My hope is that Dupnik will be labeled for what he is, a corrupt inept POL (and POS).

He deserves to be “investigated” for corruption.

I see nothing in this incident that indicates a SWAT team was warranted. I would like to know the background of the “judge” who issued the warrant and the wording of the warrant.

Dupnik needs to be made accountable for his actions.

There's a very small but vocal group of freepers who hate anyone in law enforcement. The rest of us stand with you... our police officers protect, serve, and stand between us and crazy criminals. We're thankful for their service.

It is amazing that Pima County SWAT doesn’t own a bullhorn. If I can’t hear ‘open up’ on the video, how could anyone hear from the far side of the house?

They also need to buy a new siren. One that doesn’t sound like a car alarm, and then they need to leave it on long enough for someone to know it WASN’T a car alarm.

That is what bothers me about this shooting. If they did it to my house (SE of Tucson), I’d hear a car alarm, then hear a commotion at the front door. I’d grab my 44 revolver and head that way, just in time for the door to come open and for me to be shot for the crime of holding a 44 Mag while a cop was near.

After I bled to death, they could search my house and find more guns than this guy had, military uniforms with rank wadded up in the back of the closet, an old flight helmet and old bank statements. They could then speculate about why I go ‘jogging’ in the desert by myself, and ask if my horses were just for riding, or if they were used for hauling drugs.

And since I’d be dead, I couldn’t give an answer...

Oh, they took the widow’s WEDDING RING.

That really is pretty low.

What evidence do you have his wife was here illegally? I’ve seen no whisper of that in the news reports - and I’m pretty sure our butt-covering sheriff would have mentioned it, if true.

I wanted to know the same thing.

The local paper said that she got her citizenship last year, I can’t find the story right now but read it in the hard-copy.

The only reason the wife isn’t dead is because she was on the phone with 911.

As an aside, if you want to be really sick, listen to that 911 call where the most moronic operators ever stall the wife and pretend they can’t understand her accent. Here in Tucson where almost all the jobs like that are bilingual and there are tons of Mexican accents.

Oops, sorry, just saw that you’re nearby — you know then about accents and such!

The officers told investigators that, upon opening the door, they saw a man appear in the hallway holding a rifle before they saw what they thought were muzzle flashes from his gun.

How many FReepers have seen a muzzle flash indoors or at close range (I have)? Is there even one FReeper who could mistake anything that might have been happening during that SWAT raid, with the unfired rifle on safety, for a muzzle flash? Police do not always lie, nor are they always the enemies of real, law-abiding Americans, but these cops are lying. No one on their force could possibly believe their side of the story, which does not pass the smell test.

I understand that Jose Guerena’s wife is an American citizen and that Jose Guerena was an American citizen. Where did you read that Vanessa was an illegal alien? She lived in Mexico until she married Jose. They must’ve been 18 when they married. She said they had known each other since they were 5 years old. Was she living on a US military base as an illegal alien, or did they perhaps have papers that made it legal?

She told the interrogators that she got her citizenship last year. It’s in the transcripts of her interrrogations.

Only you can protect yourself, if you decide to rely on cops for protection you’ve already submitted yourself to the police state. Serve ? Who exactly are they serving? It seems like the taxpayers are serving them. There are some good cops but there are entirly too many super cops.

“In any case there was not a reasonable amount of time for a person to open the door. “
///
yep. that is exactly what i said, in my #43... and much more!

“Supposedly they expected no one would be at home. What about the car in the driveway-should that have been a clue? ///
supposedly, they did think he was at home. but NOT his wife and children. the wife saw a man with a gun through the window. the SWAT guy clearly saw her.
(yet they continued the assault, and emptied their magazines, KNOWING a woman and a child were inside?!?)
She woke her husband who had just gone to sleep after a 12 hour shift, and told him about the man outside with a gun.
KNOWING her relative was killed a year ago, about a mile away, in a home invasion, he put her and his son in a closet, and got his PISTOL.
(”small gun” according to her statement. her statements says she NEVER saw the “big gun”, the rifle, until a SWAT guy placed it next to her husband. ...and yes, initially her statement says “AK47”. but it was an AR15 that was planted. clearly she didn’t know about guns, and the AK47 was referring to the PISTOL. her later statements about “big” and “small” guns make this clear.)
///

Criminal Negligence on part of the Serving team IMHO.
///
more than negligence. i would vote for murder on a jury.

and to copwife: “I always find it interesting that Freepers hate cops in general.” i have found NO FReepers who hate good honest cops. most are supportive. and in case you think i’m a hater, my Dad served honorably with the Mesa Police Department, and he would have been one of the FIRST to condemn these Dupnik led murderers !

A little bit aside but speaking of super Rambo cops...

I had forgotten that Carmona was a co-creator of the PCSO SWAT “team.”

He is a leftist Trojan horse if I ever saw one. He was Gabby Giffords’ personal bodyguard at the few town halls she was finally forced to have (being that she was too afraid of the public opposition to her fascist schemes).

I hadn’t realized he was such a thug until then. He threatened to shut the townhalls down.

He had also been in a shootout at Grant/Campbell a few years earlier — and that was highly praised by the leftist media even though normally they oppose anything involving guns.

Have you heard the lastest?

Now they are stating in press reports that the dead Marine did not even point the rifle at the officers.

Sounds like this officer needs his eyes check for the non-existent muzzle flashes he report OR he is just an LEO ‘testilying’ as is the norm to support weak cases.
